I don't get what all the complaining was about. I skimmed through this thread, and thought some of the people complaining about prices  being too expensive were just kidding around, and saw they weren't.

I think these prices are pretty fair, and using the lower end of ebay as a guide isn't bad. If he were to price his stuff to low, it makes it easy for someone to buy it all up, and dump it all on ebay. Leaving Willis to think to himself, "Well, I could have done that myself".

There's nothing here I want, but, I just wanted to say, those prices, are nice. Bomberman 93, Neutopia 2, CIB at about $100 each? Not bad at all.
"Damnit, Beavis, put that away. You're not supposed to have your _____ out when you're cooking".

Yeah, besides a few games that go for high prices, most of his are pretty good.  I am getting a little tired of all the old members jumping on people for prices and telling them to go to ebay.  These are not "jackpot" prices, but for the current shitty trend we are in for turbo games, these are fairly decent.

BT is right.  When I started selling stuff there were 0 post count members coming at me from all different directions.  "Dude!  I have to have that game.  Hook me up bro!"  Some people have no idea how many lurkers we really have.  The sad thing is that a lot of them are probably resellers.  Willis I am just going to say please don't sell to 0 or 5 post count members, especially if they've been here a while.  These games are probably going to all end up on ebay.  Nothing we can do really.  It's all about getting your money at the end of the day I guess.  Regardless I don't find his prices that bad.  Quite a few of them are pretty good.

The pricing drama here is out of control. And I think Wmac's thread is all the proof needed to back up that statement. That f*ckin' thread's gonna wind up being the basis for somebody's doctoral thesis someday.

This guy's prices aren't offensive, but if some jackass wants to post a shit-stained, loosie copy of Keith Courage for $800, let him. Nobody's gonna buy it and chances are he'll either drop the price or, as the saying goes, give up and "take his shit to eBay."
Games I Need: Bonk 3 (HuCard), Legend of Hero Tonma, Magical Chase, Soldier Blade, Super Air Zonk.

I just sent payment for 5 games that I wanted .. unfortunately missed out on 3 others I expressed interest in.  Understand my comment about "better price" was the typical bundle discussion in an effort to shave off a couple bucks and round down. Eg: something comes to $204, and you cask if we can make it an even $200.  I thought his prices were just fine. Willis gave very good rate for shipping (to Canada), was prompt in his communication and I'm getting games I want, at a price I'm comfortable paying. And like Nullity, these games are going to my personal collection to be played. Sorry you lost out on Cotton. Was hoping you'd rope that.

I'm not going to bother checking the updated games/prices, but almost every one of the originally listed titles (all but Implode and Cotton) was right in the middle of completed auctions.  With him saving the eBay's fees, this means he was making more here than he likely would on eBay.

Is this worth complaint?  Perhaps not, seeing as it serves no purpose; at the same time, those complaining from the other side of the coin aren't exactly helping matters either.

Wow, that must've been some thread. When it started, I stopped reading it fairly early on because I thought I knew what it was going to be. Did it really get that bad? Excuse me for a minute while I go read some...

*Sometime later*

OK, I just read the full thread. The WHOLE. f*ckING. THREAD.

I thought I knew what Internet Insanity looked like. I was wrong. I think I've lost more respect and hope for the Human Race from reading that thread than any other event in my life.

That thread goes WAY beyond just being a simple flame war. I felt like I was watching a David Lynch film about flame wars! Everyone who seriously participated in that thread should be put away for life in a mental hospital.

I feel psychotic just from having read that thing. There were points where I was laughing like a madman; at other points, I wanted to kill myself. Most of the time, it was both at the same time.

That's enough Internet for me for today. I'll see you all once I've calmed down.

Maybe.

Eh, I don't think you should get to exploit my flame thrower approach to a parasitical, profiteering manchild like wmac in order to help swing the pendulum in favor/defense of resellers and whatever prices they come up with to sort of help martyr them up - he's a specific individual (as am I), a specific case, the result of which was due to grudges against personality. I grew to detest him at a personal level and that had less to do with his pricing (although it started it) and more so with his character. He didn't deserve to profit a single penny from PCEFX and I personally would've probably erased all traces of him if I was the owner of the site long time ago before it ever came to animal ballz-flashing (personally though, that wily cat gave me the most lulz).

Ah, cry me a river! If that's the worst you've seen, you don't get around the Internet much. Never run into a 20 week comment fight on Youtube or a GameFAQs situation ? Was it juvenile posting the animal photos ? Sure, but why not ? What's lulz for me, may not be lulz for you, I get it. The main point/purpose was to make it as unpleasant for him as possible, deter him from doing business here (then to shut his ass up). He's a parasite and earned it. I think I was actually about done with it 3 weeks ago, but the bitch kept coming back with his next lame meme to smart off at me, so it invited further aggression on my part to get him to f--k off. That's what led to the flame thrower approach of photo-bombing, etc.

Come to think of it though, you do get around actually, don't you ? When X.X.XSEED Games' Thomas Lipschultz started his flame rallying on Ancient Land of Ys a few years back, you were there in that one-stop bashfest hate session of talking a lot of shit behind someone's back who wasn't there to defend himself! You have seen worse actually... There wasn't spamming of photo memes or whatever, but it certainly was a bashfest that you contributed to with erroneous grievances to boot. I know you apologized, and we patched things up, but you still took part in that ganging up mentality and used something that wasn't true to back it up, etc.

Anyhow, where exactly is the real "beef" or "meat" to this alleged "reseller roast" against willis ?? willis != wmac... If he starts doing a "ballz of steel" bump after bump after bump after bump after bump, gets caught on a homebrew gouge attempt only to respond with a "Oops on that one. But hey, stay out of my thread, whiners! Don't buy it if you don't like the price!" that's gonna draw out the knives... If you act professional, you can typically dodge a shitstorm which is true most anywhere. Avoid acting like wmac when dealing with critics, and you'll get along better.

eBay activity of NEC products is what's out of control and has been for a long time! Petty flame wars can't compare to that... eBay ranges may have been mainstreamed now to many people here since they're used to it, but when I look at it, it's still outrageous to me and to others, so there's still gonna be passionate dissent rather than just acceptance...

Anyway, I don't see how willis' head was ripped off here, hardly a witch hunt, the main complaint I saw was with Cotton and only a few sentences. Most of the writing in this thread and crying is coming from those trying to leverage all his good prices against the past PCEFX history of fighting against shitty prices in cases where it was more generally clear. He's got other good prices, great - I see that, but that doesn't mean "no criticism allowed" on others as resellers prefer.

As a side note, you're seemingly terrible negotiators/hagglers to me actually... :P If you just come out of the box by default after walking into say a resale shop and slobber all over the seller/owner to tell him how great the prices are, shower him with praise, if there was any room for haggling down some, you closed that window on it from the start... Heh.

But with willis, I'd say he was damn near rock bottom on quite a few of his titles.

Fair enough point on willis.

p.s. wmac thread was lulz of legend on many levels. (:

I actually had someone PM me about his enjoyment from it, so yeah, what's lulz for me, may not be lulz for you, simple enough. ;) The negativity level, the PR of it, all abandonment of civility, etc. from that sort of thing brings out strong opposition though, so I understand.

Wow, you're still holding on to that? That small misunderstanding?

I'm not going to argue with you, Nightwolve. At least not here. I am considering making a Fighting Street thread, though. There are certain things about the way you behave that REALLY get on my nerves. Things that I've been wanting to talk about for a long time.

So don't tempt me. :P

Well, for the record and comparison, and BTW the public holds on to or "remembers" that too (you can't just turn off something you remember)... I still have people accusing me of things years later that never happened, like with Pyscho John Schizomaniak's lying about Ys IV (and hopefully the libel lawsuit of the Metal Gear Solid 2 translator wins out with that prick - http://versusjs.blogspot.jp/). Your case was angrily stating that, "I donated $50 bucks to NightWolve, and I never even received the software!" That was never corrected in-place, 30+ or more people potentially read it, formed and kept opinions of me based on things like it, including Lipschultz himself before he was hired by XSEED, etc. That was a great big bashfest you took part in.

Whoops, I screwed that up.  I meant to split the topic and move that to Fighting Street.... but I think I deleted it.  f*ck.  I've still got my training wheels on, so please don't hate me.

*edit*

wmac's post has been recreated and placed in Fighting Street.  If you two guys wanna meme flame each other to death, please keep it on Fighting Street where nobody can complain about it.

For the record, I do feel bad about jumping the gun there. I freaked out when I couldn't figure out how to download the patch, I jumped to conclusions, and I did and said some things I shouldn't have. In fact, I probably did the same thing in my last post, when I was taunting you.

You're absolutely right; it is very hard to shake off your opinion and fears of someone. When you taunted me for getting upset over the wmac debacle, I was angry. I wanted to start a Fighting Street thread where I could tear you a new one and complain about all of your perceived personality flaws. I realize I had been holding a lot of frustration directed towards you inside myself.

When I calmed down, I realized that there would be no point. What would it accomplish? A flame war? Several burnt bridges? The loss would greatly outweigh the gain. The real issue wasn't what you said to me. It was that I was afraid that your enemies might be right about you, and I began to let all of your behavior be seen through that lens.

Besides, I would never win in a flame war against a Black Belt like you.

If I may briefly be honest about how I feel about you (in a calm way), I do feel that some of your behavior is a little self-destructive to your causes. Having angry rants in public won't help your case against Deuce and XSeed, it will just make people keep their distance. I've noticed (from experience) that people tend to listen better to a person who is able to calmly state their case, rather than those who resort to name-calling and insults.

Anyway, I'm calm now, and I feel much better for it. I apologize for getting upset.
