What is the difference: Arcade Card - Arcade Pro

pro will work on both duo and cd rom so you are cool. Duo only works on Duos but its generally cheaper

yes... the Arcade Duo is for the Duo, Duo-R, Duo-RX, and Super CD-ROM2.  The Arcade Pro is for a CD-ROM2 in IFU set-up

Perfect! I really want to get some of those Neo-Geo conversions for the TG16 I would have been upset if I couldn't play them on my TG16 (even though I already have them for my AES and MVS).

The FAQ-style answer is:

The Arcade Card Pro includes the Super CD-ROM BIOS code and the Super CD-ROM RAM in addition to the Arcade CD-ROM RAM. This allows the AC Pro to be used in any CD-ROM capable system.

The Arcade Card Duo ONLY includes the Arcade CD-ROM RAM. This means it can only be used with systems that already provide their own built-in Super CD-ROM BIOS code and RAM expansion. This means that if you have to provide a Super CD-ROM card to play Super CD-ROM games, the AC Duo will NOT work with your system.

I plan on buying Altered Beasts, what do you mean the 1.0 card is the only one that allows that game to play flawlessly?

that game is bugged to shit with any other system card. Also its a terrible port (not that the card version is any better)

It means if you want to play Altered Beast (CD) without flaws, you need a 1.0 card.  It's plain english.

I have to agree. This is a pretty basic question anyone can read up on.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can never fight a boss if your not fully powered up. Rather, you'll keep playing the same level in a loop until you get enough power orbs to do so. I was never personally able to get to any boss unless I was fully powered in beast form.

You have to get to the boss three times as a human before he'll fight you, or so says Joe; I'm not enough of a masochist to try doing it myself.
