What is the difference: Arcade Card - Arcade Pro

Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can never fight a boss if your not fully powered up. Rather, you'll keep playing the same level in a loop until you get enough power orbs to do so. I was never personally able to get to any boss unless I was fully powered in beast form.

You have to get to the boss three times as a human before he'll fight you, or so says Joe; I'm not enough of a masochist to try doing it myself.

I guess that would explain it. I never had the will power to intentionally throw three rounds of the same guff just to see if I could fight the boss gimped. :-)

I have a low tolerance for lazy people that can't be bothered to use search.

Let me rephrase my question so that even you can understand. What kind of issues does Altered Beasts have when being played using a card other than the 1.0 on the PCECD?

If you're fully transformed into the beast, the game freezes when you reach any boss; the only way to beat 'em is to stay human.

Is it too difficult to use? I mean why do forums have a search function? The forums existed before you, you aren't breaking any new ground Copernicus. Do you see why people are cynical? The arcade card pro is for pros like me while the arcade card duo is for people like you;). Someone told me this when I asked what's the difference is between the two back when I was a noob to the pce scene (1999).

In the Google Age, I'm surprised this isn't everyone's mindset to begin with, honestly...
But look at the corrolary: if anyone asked any question that popped into their heads without checking if it's been asked, people would spend all their time answering the questions that've been asked a number of times before, even if that particular question hasn't been asked for months or years.
That being said, pointing to the thread that answers it and then suggesting that someone search in the future is probably the ideal solution.

Some of us don't have as much time as others. I understand that the search function is useful and I do use it on every forum I visit. Though when a question is on topic I don't the reason to give someone the third degree.

Often times using a search feature you have to put in a significant amount of time to find the correct answers... otherwise you run into things like was just mentioned above. And in the quote below:

There comes a point where answering a question is much simpler than whining and complaining about people not using the search feature. I think that most of the conversation on this forum is filled asinine debates such as this one.

If you don't need the Pro card, then I would avoid it. It's usually more expensive, but the real downside is it also has more chips/ram/parts as well. That means you have a greater chance of something dying and the card malfunctioning. I had a Pro card; it died after several years of use.

Not really.  Unlike your lazy ass, I actually spent a couple minutes looking up how many rounds it takes before the boss will fight and to see who originally had made the post; trenton was worth the effort, whereas you are not.

All I know is that the Arcade Card Pro looks much cooler that the Arcade Card Duo.

Alas, it was far more expensive and I eventually found a Duo for a nice price.

No I do need it. I've already purchased Fatal Fury 2, and I plan on getting more of the games that support its use.

I think he meant if you're going to get an Arcade Card if you can (depending on hardware) choose the Arcade Duo over the Arcade Card Pro.
