If ppl want to know: Someone that was not hotel staff or an attendee (read: drifter/bum/homeless/street rat) came up the service elevator into the back area where we were storing our hand trucks, empty boxes, spare cables, along with our extra games. There was a camera, so the hotel saw what went down. The front doors where being watched and staff was present in the game room but because the elevator was behind a curtain, separating the storage area, no one new until I heading down in the AM to swap out games.
Dude was looking for disc based games(namely current gen), in what I assume was hope that he could sell/pawn for cash. Because I had used a CD disc case to carry my obey, he grabbed that with out even opening it to look what was inside. HuCards fit well enough in the CD sleeves along with the CD games(I had mostly burns just for this type of fear). He left $150 PCBs and my controllers but you can tell they where rummaged through. There was another guys stuff back there also, I over heard it was closer to $10,000 of games and consoles that were lost.
At least nothing rare was lost and I've been reimbursed in cash my estimated loss. Live and learn, or at least f*ck DETROIT.
