Neo Metal Fantasy is a Phantasy Star II/IV style game with a bit more fantasy and non-technological environments, like the original Phantasy Star. It has some great and unique character designs and high quality cinemas with some of the best animation in a SCD game. All of the gameplay and interface is polished and everything feels intuitive. Bosses are full screen and very detailed, featuring amazing artwork. Each one is like battling Dark Falz from the original Phantasy Star. You get to pilot multiple vehicles, explore a huge world, an underworld and moon. The battle menu uses animated icons like the Shining games and there has been a detailed English walkthrough online since 1999. Everyone who enjoys JRPGs should play it.

I picked this up a few years ago but just now started playing it after completing some of my backlog of 'modern game' stuff.  It does feel somewhat phantasy star I just wish the battles had a bit more animation to them.

I picked Neo Metal Fantasy up awhile back as well and haven't gotten more than an hour or two into it, but with the arrival of the new Duo, I've been meaning to get back into it. I printed out the FAQ and everything!

would like to add A-train III.  I'm just putting some time getting some basic translations done but looks like a chill game designing your rail track and then the towns and watching it develop on it's own and then you have to play estate market and then stocks.  Looks like the pc engine has like 19 scenarios to choose from and majority of these seem exclusive

I get the feeling nobody ever plays Power Golf. It's by no means perfect, honestly I'd say Neo Geo's Top Player's Golf which is just one year newer (1990) is a massive improvement over Power Golf. That said, Hudson's 1989 Power Golf is not really that bad once you get to grips with it. There's very little hand holding and it's super easy to mess up a stroke. Still, it has that undeniable TG16 charm to its visuals and sounds.

Power Golf is fun. It's Power Golf 2 that I still need to spend time on.

Power Golf 2? I did not know about this. What platform is it on? I like me some decent vintage golf games.

It's PCE Super CD.  Ive not put any time into playing it (I struggle with sports games and maintaining interest) but it has some neato fmv.  It's also one of the few games that lets you use the mouse, though I'm not sure that's a better way to play or not.

Did someone say Power Golf?!

Power Golf 2 is great. Lot's of courses and redbook audio. I love how one of the recorded "nature" sounds from the course has an airplane fly over heard. Captured forever! It's a very chill game to enjoy a relaxing game of golf.
