Ha! Nice! I was just wearing a cap 'n jazz shirt this weekend. Pinkerton rules everything around me!

Where the hell did you get a Cap'n Jazz shirt? I had no idea those even existed! hah i just thought they made them when they were a band, 20 years ago, and were now lost.

I have some random tracks on random old records, but a quick image search reminded me that I have the "Boys 16 to 18..." EP. That's all I really, really know by Cap'n Jazz.

I actually did not know that they ever released an album. So, that's a neat treat to listen to, I hope.

Anyone mention King Crimson yet?

In The Court of The Crimson King and In The Wake of Poseidon are wow.

Crimson up to RED are just about the best band ever.

My faves, year after year:

Rocket From the Crypt
The Cure
The Sandpipers
The Smiths
Yes
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Beastie Boys
Pixies
King Crimson
The Beatles
Bowie
The Clash
Iron Maiden
KMFDM
Weird Al Yankovic
Melvins
Frank Zappa
Sergio Mendes
Dead Kennedys
Scorpions (Roth era)
Bjork

Oh wow you have the actual record? That's awesome. Where did you get that?

But basically, they released an album that compiled all of their EP's and Demos and whatnot (Boys 16 and 18 is on it). So it's kind of an album, more of an anthologoy. But they called it Analphabetapolothology (say that twice)

I listen almost exclusively to game soundtracks.  New, old, console, pc, you name it.  I dont care much for music with any vocals unless its like choral or in a language I dont understand.

One of my favorite themes:

And this one:

And maybe this one too:

And to top it off... I love it when people remix musics with real instruments (especially the violin):

[Sun 23:29] <Tatsujin> we have hard off, book off, house off, sports off, baby off, clothes off, jerk off, piss off etc

^^ +1. Not too keen on remixes though. You should see the looks I get when I'm getting dressed in the locker room at work and whack on the y's 3 intro music. No one knows what a pc engine is.

I think there was a full length released on vinyl, but it's SOOPER RAREZ OOP. Schmap and Schmazz I believe it was called (no joke)

Oh yeah i forgot about that one. The cover of that has a little red wagon and has a super long name that follows Schmapin Schmazz.

I really like a lot of the other Kinsella brother bands like Owen, American Football, and Joan of Arc. But between the two of them (and the guitarist from capn jazz started The Promise Ring i believe) there's just so much. I can hardly keep up. All i know is that Cap'n Jazz is one of my favvsss

I was way too into music, including punk/post-punk/hardcore/etc./etc.

I actually did not like the name of the band "Cap n jazz" back in the day, but I was surprised that the music wasn't lame.

There were so many crappy records, amateurish records, goofy records floating around...it didn't take much for me to appreciate the semi-decent stuff.

For example, I really loved a few tracks from a band called "First five through", but I can't find the old EP and I didn't find anything on the interwebz last time I looked.

Anyway, I have a zillion random songs I like from those days when I would find a great song on a random record.

OneSpotFringehead and The Commonwealth...recently I have an urge to find songs by these two (related) bands. Must be the snow, or something.

Haha, I didn't work very hard for it :) When they played those reunion shows a couple years back, JadeTree were selling them. The Kinsellas rule! Ever heard Owls? It's Cap n Jazz 20 years later with a different (crazy) guitar player. They're SOOOOOO good.

I see Rush and Bowie, you be a winner.

Also, ew, excite bike. jklolololol

Rush, Bowie, and Excitebike are all winners in my book.  Probably what doesn't show up in a site like last.fm is how often I listen to sunteam_paul's pc engine city podcasts. I think I have most of them memorized and I still enjoy listening to them.

I generally listen to classical music. Beethoven, bach, vivaldi, etc.
there are few (if any) pieces of music better than Chopins Rhapsody in Blue or Griegs Peer Gynt Suite.
