When I graduated high school I put the tassel from my hat on my rear view mirror.  When my car was broken into a couple of years later, said tassel was stolen (along with everything else).  Haven't had anything on there since.

I try to consistently have at least one Black Ice air freshener on my mirror. Other than that, not much else. Sometimes a Spiderman toy if he feels like staying in place.
