For those of you who didn't hear - Galloping Ghost arcade brought their prototype board for Primal Rage II to the show for everyone to play (one of I believe two that exist on Earth). The game was in a dynamo cab, so the board rests close to the control panel. Some complete nob dumped their beer by accident into the CPO, which spilled on to the board and apparently caused it to reboot in a loop. They shut it down as soon as they saw it; cross your fingers that it didn't completely fry the board.
Nintendo Age had this:What did you have?

We also had this (unfortunately):
As it is, I've gotta talk myself into showering in a hotel bathroom. I can't imagine putting something to my lips that has taken an ice bath in a hotel tub. Where's the *vomit* emoticon? This'll do:
Doc Mack: "The Incident" at MGC. We had been asked to bring Primal Rage II (one of only two know working boards in existence). It ran perfect until on Saturday, a careless gamer spilled beer on the glass and control panel, which ran into the cabinet and got on the arcade PCB. The game froze and reset several times before failing to turn back on completely. We did not witness it happen nor were we told immediately. We spent MANY hours cleaning the board and now it seems to be 100% operational again back on the floor for everyone to enjoy. At the arcade we have rules posted saying we DO NOT allow drinks on our machines obviously for just this reason. We ask that everyone please look at this incident and make sure that they are helping us take care of our machines. Also this only reiterates our no alcohol policy (it will NEVER happen here). Think about how many of these games that people have NOT been able to play for years because they stopped working and were pulled from arcade floors. A game not seen for 17 years is put back in front of everyone to play and it only takes one person to ruin it. So please help us police the arcade a bit. Let us know if you see someone with a drink on a machine, please let us know if you see someone playing too rough on a cabinet or pinball machine. If you are playing and something happens TELL US! While we don't want incidents to happen we know they do. We can fix them. Bigger problems occur when people just walk away and don't tell us. When we have to go to our cameras to see who did what or what happened its much more frustrating and makes the situation much worse. We were fortunate this time to be able to fix the this, but realize that by recognizing the historic value that these games have and treating them with the deserved respect, it will keep them persevered for every one to enjoy for decades to come.We will continue to bring Primal Rage II and other games to shows because its important to let people every where enjoy arcade games. We just look to everyone to please help us keep doing what we do by respecting these amazing games.
PBR for the hipsters.
