BONK HEAD FOR JOYSTICK. Or are you working on this already...hmmmmm....

Anyone on the UK will think I am a pervert.

The problem is that "spherical" might look horrible once the printer spits it out :(

Do these actually exist?

We have never actually seen one. At this point, I don't trust anyone. I'd love to be proven wrong, of course.

I think folks will fake one, though. And claim it is real.

Well, we are assuming the item actually existed. It might never have (order to manufacture was never placed, or problems/delays from factory in China...like entire batch was defective).

Or, if the item did exist, we are assuming it was distributed (the bag/box of Bonk Heads was thrown in the trash—whoops!).

I don't think many copies of the book were printed/sold, but I am sure at least a handful of people might have sent away for a Bonk Head...but did they ever receive it?

WE MAY NEVER KNOW.

:)

It is very similar situation to this SUPER STAR SOLDIER POSTER, which I fear was never actually printed due to low (read "absolutely zero") interest.

http://archives.tg-16.com/turbo_play_0004.htm

It was the first and last time a poster of the cover was ever offered in any TG-16 magazine.

This would be fairly easy if anyone has a figurine (does one exist?) that has a head about the size of a ball top. I can scan it & create a socket on the bottom to press fit a brass thread into. If we have nothing for me to scan though then someone will have to create it. Or I can get the design done in maya but i will need someone to take it from there and finish with measurements etc. Cool part is there is a "skin" filament that would be cool to try as well.

No don't make penciled toppers. Someone associated to DoxPhile might top non pencils with them. And then whisper bonk in your ear

Well made a handful of things for the kids, battery doors for the old coleco, bandai tabletop arcade games and some prototype stuff for a guy here in vegas. I'm open to ideas and i like the bonk topper but we need someone to design me a model to try out.

Yes, i would recommend Makerbot as it seems to have the best customer support currently. I was actually interested in the Craftbot but with ship times taking months and really bad support from Hungary, i deemed ill pass even though the printer looked like it was a great build. If you want to save a few bucks you could get the FlashForge series which is basically a clone of the Makerbot Dual/Replicator 2 (depending which model you get) and it will run Makerware software/upgrades etc and they provide descent customer service from what i was reading as well.

It's hard to recommend a site to read as my quest took me a couple months of reading across the web, youtube & discussions with people before i made a decision. Best to try and read on forums from printers you may wish to get to see how the owners are loving/hating there printers.
