Some local libraries offer free 3D printing, mine does so I have no desire to buy a machine yet. 

I've been working with 123D Design which is free software for 3D modeling.  I do have a rough idea on a Bonk related project that has been hinted at, but have yet to have time to work too much on it.

that looks nice! the one thing i don't like about my BuffaloWing designed cover, from shapeways, is how its hard to get to the region switch. Looks like you made a nice cutout for it.

It actually came from thingiverse, but i do like the design of it.

I get the sense Popful Mail would be jealous of any such project.
