I have a mod project idea. I am either looking for a mostly functional TE/PCEGT or someone interested in my mod for which I am willing to compensate in order to see it through since I am unsure whether or not I will have the means to myself.

Not exactly. More like creating a docking station for a TE.

I've seen what people have accomplished with the TE over the years. I've seen the LCD upgrades, the RGB output mod, the external controller mod and the rechargeable battery mod. What I would like to do would possibly involve combining all of those mods together. Then I would turn something like the TurboTap into a dock for the TE (though I'm not aware if it's feasible that the TE could still utilize the multiplayer functions in games - I'm not sure yet). It would make the TE act like a TG16 core system for the TV (and possibly a charging station for the TE) but still be removable for portable gaming. I am not aware of any project like this that has been done before.

I'm unsure if I would have the means or skill level to see the project all the way through. I'm aware that it may be a lot to pack into the TE and it's just an overall ambitious project as well. But it's a project that I would gladly help fund and supply the materials for as long as I ended up with the final product of course.

Great ideas man! I personally would LOVE to see a mod that utilizes the TE as a TG-16 w/ controller port, yet still be able to remain portable.

As for your question...

I think TE had some games that were multiplayer. I remember playing Falcon back in the day with 2 TE's linked up.

Thank you. I really see the TE having potential to pull this off with everything that has been proven to be possible already. Alas the thing that worries me is my lack of ability to pull it all off, at least on my own.

It's not the link/comm cable that I am trying to address, it's the Turbo Tap/multi-tap so it could still turn the TE into a multiplayer console. In theory it should still work, but I am not knowledgeable or experienced enough to be certain.

Yes, that video is one of the inspirations for my overall modding project here. But what I am talking about is the TurboTap, such as in this CGR video:

I don't believe there to be any differences between the taps, other than the connectors what with the different regions.  Don't see why that wouldn't be feasible.

I'm talking about the multiplayer peripheral. What Turbokon is using in that video is the Avenue 6 gamepad.

he has a tap hooked up, but i forgot he isn't doing multiplayer.  I don't see why it wouldn't work though as the controls should be the same as a standard console.

No, sorry I didn't. I admit that I skipped around the video and breezed past the PCE multi-tap that he used. My bad.
