Pin/leg 29 clarification
« on: June 24, 2015, 11:40:20 PM »
I am doing a region mod on a Core Grafx. I know that on Duo/R you can just bridge pin 29 and 30 (which is connected to ground) without lifting, but on a core Grafx is it necessary to lift pin 29 and connect to ground or can it be connected without lifting? I have done this before, but I hate lifting delicate chip legs.

GameTechUS had a video where he said it doesn't go anywhere on a CG2 so no need to lift it.  I assume a CG would be the same.
cant get the link to work right, but start at 3m2s
Pin 30 is not ground though he said.

Thanks for your fast response. GameTechUS knows what he is talking about and Core Grafx I and II are identical inside, so I'm glad I don't have to lift that leg.

note that pin 30 goes to the exp bus, as its only grounded when the CD system is present
