LOL, when I was 7 I was watching murder she wrote instead of cartoons. then again, that probably explains alot...........
I'm a huge fan of scott bakula from quantum leap. He's a big reason I liked enterprise. Like Zeta said, I could not sit through ds9 or voyager and enterprise may not have been perfect, but it was decent.

My wife is watching Enterprise again, it's a great show, loved the time travel stuff, never understood why people got turned off by it.  Love Voyager as well, not a big Janeway fan though.  She's ok, the Holodeck Dr. is probably my favorite character.  Never saw DS9, always seemed like a boring idea, but someday I'll push myself thru it.  I think it has Worf, so that helps.

Cheers for Brisco County Jr.(have the DVD set, but haven't watched the show in decades) & Jack of All Trades.  Heck, he's one of the main reasons I used to watch Hercules & Xena.  Always looked for episodes with him in it.  Got into Burn Notice since he was in it.

Doctor Who, love Doctor's 9 & up.  10/Tennet is my favorite, hated to see him go, but did get into 11.  12 however, I just haven't gotten into yet.  Granted, I've only seen a few ep's of him at a friends house, since Netflix & Hulu have yet to put up the last season.  The original series however, I have yet to get into....at all.  I've tried, really really tried.  Doesn't help with there being missing episodes.  I watched thru all of Doctor 1(of what's not missing), was bored to tears.   I remember watching bit's n' pieces of Tom Baker/Doctor 4 as a kid.  My wife tried to watch his arc since he seems to be the most popular of all the Doctor's, but wasn't feeling it.  Have yet to see the movie with Doctor 8, not even sure if it's available.  I'll eventually try more of the old Doctor's, but it'll be awhile with my limited time.

As for shows people seem to hate.  I liked Avenger's Assemble(though I prefer Earth's Mightiest Heroes).  Love love love Batman: The Brave & the Bold!  Most people took it too seriously, so it got a short 3rd season.  The  Batman series(Beware the Batman) that was supposed to replace it & be darker was ok, but it got canned.  Loved the Green Lantern Animated series, but that got canned!  Loved the new He-man but that got canned!  Like the new Thundercats....guess what, it got canned!  Loved Spectacular Spier-man, but that got canned!  The Tick live action show was good, but got canned after 9 episodes.  Still, I prefer the cartoon. Really enjoyed Transformers Animated despite some episodes focusing way too much on humans.  It's like the Brave & the Bold of Transformers, people took it too seriously & it got canned.

Captain Planet -  I mean cmon, who wouldn't want him as "our hero"  And who else is going to turn pollution down to zero!

Exo Squad - I guess it was an American attempt at a Gundam-ish cartoon.  I enjoyed it but I've never heard anyone else ever even mention it

As far as the Star Trek discussion...  I enjoyed NG the best, followed by Voyager, then probably DS9 and Original series.  Haven't honestly watched Enterprise so I cannot offer an opinion there.  Picard has got to be my favorite character in all of them.  But I agree with PD that the hologram doctor in Voyager was awesome too.

does anybody watch that current show the Goldbergs?  similar to wonder years but set in the 80's.
some good references/fan fare in each episode.

Full House

Edit... I don't like but hate it lol

Full House wasn't bad at all.
In fact, most of the ABC "TGIF" Friday night family comedies were quite enjoyable.
Life seemed so much simpler back then, at least if those shows are anything to go by.

I hate Full House.

Seriously.

Im not starting trouble with you :)

I just really, really hate that show.

Not sure how I missed this, but I have to strongly concur. Even as a kid the "life leasons" type shows combined with horrible acting and a laugh track annoyed the hell out of me.
I HATE FULL HOUSE
that is all

Yes, I like The Goldbergs...but it could be a lot better (very formulaic).

Two REALLY goofy and cheesy shows that I have always had a lot of pleasure watching are Silk Stalkings and Nash Bridges.

I remember watching both of those show after Monday Night Raw (speaking of cheesy and goofy ) in the late 90s. Both were pretty trashy and featured a lot of cringe worthy dialogue and bad acting, which is definitely why I enjoyed them so much

Man do I miss the days of cheesy late night USA crime and police dramas that were so damn prevalent during that period.

Yeah, and still better than most other shows on tv. And i think they do that a bit on purpose. Sort of a throw back to 80s sitcoms.

Did anybody watch Mr. Belvedere?  That was a weird one.

I would say about 9 times out of 10 the intro was the best part about any given episode of Silk Stalkings

And Yes!! Joe Bob Brigg's Drive in Theater was always a blast! Although, sadly, I watched more of MonsterVision than Drive in Theater back in the day.

If I remember correctly Drive in Theater was a much better show than MonsterVision, but I could have the two mixed up because it's been so long

Full house is just horrible can't stand it, I like sponge bob (wow the amount of people that this sucks is huge),  the sonic anime (you know from the early '00s) I love it and yoshi the superstar (I have it on dvd and watch it from time to time but my father just hates it and my mom finds it stupid but I still love it)!
The Dreamcast is still alive, so go play it before it kills your family!

You reminded me, the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon that was syndicated weekdays in the early 90s is totally unwatchable.
