Can't wait to move back to the South...

Best "eat while drunk" food. When I took a trip to New Orleans last year, that's basically all I ate in the wee hours of the morning. In Krystals, getting Krystal burgers, getting propositioned by hookers named Krystal. It's a great place.

New Englanders live off some fast food and we have good choices...

Taco bell will not give you the shits despite the lame internet meme theory, if you don't have stomach issues you are fine and the food is damn cheap and darn tasty.

Chipotle is good but it's a bit pricey and the spice can be uneven at times, but it's miles better than MOE'S (WELCOME TO MOES) thier food is dry bland shit.

Popeyes and KFC both rock, but for different reasons, KFC original, man I could just eat a bucket of that skin...Popeyes is spicer and more crunchya nd $5 box is FULL of food, like enough for two people, the read beans and rice is meh though, good pies as well.

That's a lil bit of insight from me, and I haven't died (yet)

Good luck :P

For me it comes down to:

1. Chipotle - a perfect low carb option...get the salad bowl with chicken, veggies, tomatoes, salsa, cheese, sour cream or guac

2. Five Guys - best burgers without a doubt.

3. Popeyes - easily the best fried chicken money can buy

Taco Bell is my second home away from home.

I rarely touch McD's these day and it's because they always served rubbery chicken, cold beef, and soggy fries.  Their system of cooking meat and then keeping it in steam warmer isn't helping when other places can serve just as fast but is much fresher off the grill and not after 2 hours steaming.

I also don't bother KFC much, too greasy for anything.  Even their soft drink seems greasy.

Wendy's, A&W, Arby's, and White Castle are still decent but not something I'd eat every day.  There isn't "nicier" fast food like Qdoba or Chipottle nearby.

Once in a while I'll stop by a Burger King and partake in the 2 Whoppers for $5 bucks deal. I REALLY REALLY grew out of a Big Mac... Ugh for the most part, it was that sauce that was good, but the last time I tried it years ago, I found it leaves a bad aftertaste and just some feeling of foulness, like overeating on Gyros and what not... Nah, the Whopper definitely is the better burger compared to the ole Big Mac...

The UK is in Europe, and the other countries in Europe (Spain, France etc.) I've been to have a lot more fast food on offer than McDonalds.
There are quite a few countries I haven't been to though, I was genuinely curious which country only has McDonalds for fast food???

I vividly remember going to a Burger King in Germany maybe 20 years ago. The Whopper has infected the whole world.

Maybe you're thinking of mad cow disease?  It was maybe 20 years ago that infected beef was served in parts of Europe.
