I would say though that outside of major cities on the continent, fast food chains are more uncommon. This little Portuguese island I'm on has none.

here's another....
i heard it was kinda ok
...but still that sign doesnt help pretty much

Why is your pic cut up through the middle?  The top of the sign says <<METS CANAIENS>>.

Is that normal Cdn.Fr.?

Because i couldnt find a clear pic of that place :P
so i went to googlemaps
i noticed that weird cut too, probably because of the camera that took picture  :?

Yeah, google pastes/quilts together images, usually pretty seamless, but you get the occasional glitch.

UK is not the Continent, silly.

I vividly remember going to a Burger King in Germany maybe 20 years ago. The Whopper has infected the whole world.

All major cities have been infected, especially if they are tourist destinations.

There is a Burger King kiosk in the Tower of London. You have to bow you head whilst ordering and kneel before the Royal Burger (it is in a bullet-proof glass display).

Speaking of BK
http://www.thestreet.com/story/13250146/1/burger-king-says-it-wants-to-offend-customers-with-new-menu-item.html

DUDE! The part of the article that intrigued me the most was "Doritos roulette" where one out of every handful of chip is SUPER-SPICY.

I have to admit, that is a kool concept.

I love having a bag of all-spicy chips, but if I hit a SUPER SPICY chip every now and then—damn, that would be awesome.

I don't really eat Doritos, though.

Who would be offended by something being spicy when it's advertised as being SPICY?

"Offend" is almost useless these days. The word should be restricted to only "attack."

For me it comes down to:

1. Chipotle - a perfect low carb option...get the salad bowl with chicken, veggies, tomatoes, salsa, cheese, sour cream or guac

2. Five Guys - best burgers without a doubt.

3. Popeyes - easily the best fried chicken money can buy
Five Guys without a doubt! 1 order of fries can feed a family of four lol

Indeed, good sir.

You know you've had a great meal when you leave Five Guys reeking of greasy beefy goodness!

I would say Nandos is my favourite. Mmmm chicken

Nando's is like the upmarket KFC

Macdonalds although a hit and miss sometimes it feels like I'm chewing cardboard but some stores they get it right and I love the way you can now order at those touch screen self service points and have the food delivered to your seating zone.

Itsu is a great sushi chain, pricey but when you crave the sashimi that's the place for me.

Burger King I crave every now and then but only the restaurant near Aldgate near the whitechapel art gallery

Brick lane is another great place for food especially on the Sunday morning/noon times.  Lots of vendors selling food from all corners of the earth in one spot.

Also any shop that does decent middle eastern; Shawarma, falafel and doner kebabs :Q

EDIT:

If i'm not lazy... I make my own fast food.

I use the same BK. So expensive now though I only get whatever is on offer. I have had cause to visit many businesses on brick lane. All I can say is I wouldn’t have a curry down there if you value your life. Been going beigel shop for years tho.

That perfectly sums up 5 guys though
NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

You can't tell most retro gamers anything!
