How spirited about Ninja Spirit are you?

I think I can answer my own question in regards to the Stage title, since the top three characters on each screen are the same other than the amount of lines for the second character, so I'm guessing that's "Stage 3" and "Stage 2".  Looking at the manual, the manual has things listed like "Stage 2- The two-axe Ogre", so I'm guessing that's what the bottom three characters mean?

Fantastic game. I bought it when it came out. I remember begging my dad to drive me to Toys R Us so I could get it. By the time we got home, there were like 65 mile per hour wins outside, and a tornado warning. Back then, a tornado warning means an actual tornado was actually spotted. Anyways, my whole family was in the basement. I was in my room playing my new game, hoping the power wouldn't go out.

Can you post the kanji screens?  I'm only from the far east coast (usa) but I don't remember them.  Probably stage titles?

Sorry, I missed this when you first posted.  Here are the titles from levels 2 & 3.  Is it just saying "Stage 3" or do the stages actually have a unique name?

Literally one page before this there's a 10 for Ys: Book I & II, so that wouldn't be true either.
