Printing your own CD inserts?
« on: August 27, 2015, 11:54:28 AM »
I have a disc-only copy of Pop'n Magic (fun game) and a blank cd case... I'd like to spruce it up a bit!

Searching on the forums here for this particular topic is a little sketchy because of the common search terms, so I was wondering if anyone has a helpful guide or resource to printing your own inserts? Preferably an accurate-sized resource of PC Engine scans?

I know that Sparky made nice-looking inserts once upon a time (I'm not sure if he still does though). I was just going to use some photo paper and my home printer and hope for the best.

Thanks for any help in advance.

If anyone provides nice, high resolution scans, I will clean them up and make 'em available on website.

NOTE: please push paper down flat against glass (a heavy book!) to reduce glare. Also, bend spines in OPPOSITE direction of their current orientation to get traycard/manual as flat as possible.

Scroll down the "Images" section near the bottom.

Paul has been putting together an awesome archive of scans of PCE stuff, many times it's already scanned ;)

Yes, SuperPlay, I think, has been supplying lots of those awesome huge scans!

Small stuff is older.

Thank you for the link. I have used the site as a reference many times before, but I didn't realize it had cover scans as well.

Thanks also for the tip, esteban. I suppose the folding-backwards is to force the paper up against the plastic as much as possible.

Yup, it actually makes a big difference to bend them. :)
