I had a boxed turbo duo and all the fixings that i bought from tzd back in the day.  Might and magic 3 might be the one i miss most.  Sold it all at a time when i couldnt make ends meet.  I also had a rather large jaguar collection.  I think many of us either go through that tough period or purge at some point, and then want it back.  Since then i have aquired another duo and games, but some of it i was ok with letting go for good.

I had a giuant Atari Lynx collection and a Jaguar collection I semi-regret. I did sell the Lynx stuff like 2 weeks before McWills LCD replacement came out. That stung.

I sold my Neo Geo AES I've had since 96' with 20 titles 3 years ago.  A few were fairly uncommon titles that now fetch stupid prices (like with everything now it seems).  I am happy with MVS only now, but I still miss that sleek looking console.  I also regret selling some of my US Saturn titles I got when the saturn was still on the market.  Hey Xele if you ever don't want that Panzer Dragoon Saga again....

The only game I ever regretted trading in was Harvest Moon on the Snes. I do regret trading away boxes for MegaMan 2-6 only because I learned later that the dude I traded them to is a selfish jerk.

Just about every regret I've had I have corrected down the line, usually at a big loss...

The most recent of these, as Spooky may be pleased to hear, was Cotton 2 for the Sega Saturn. Felt like this game deserved a proper chance at a 1CC before I get so angry and frustrated at it that I sell it again.

The only game left on this dubious list is Game Tengoku for the Sega Saturn; too bad Saturn prices are for the rich these days and I am not a rich man.

For any console going from pce to genesis etc.I remember after the TG16 died out in the u.s in the early 90's i traded it all to a video game exchange. The store credit went towards assorted sega-cd games and all.At least in 2005 i got a pce back plus what i owned before. Then there was the last genesis i owned then, where the same thing happen again i traded it all for a PS1 after it's released. The only game i had left was a copy of snatcher which i gave to a friend of a friend.Back then i didn't know how valuable the sega-cd version of snatcher would become. While i have a genesis again i doubt i'll ever have the game again itself,it's to pricey now.

Still in the 90's i did that allot of trading or selling to buy the latest console. These days i try to keep what i buy.

I sold off all of my vids in University for dirt cheap to pay bills... huge TG collection, snes, game gear, N64... most of it I was cool with but sometimes I wish I kept the sega cdx around.

I had a friend from high school (still friends today) who had a Sega CD.  One time he let me borrow his Sega CD and games, and I in turn let him borrow my TurboDuo and games.  It was pretty great, and I played through a bunch of games I then didn't have access to, and so did he.

Now fast forward to maybe 5 years back, he was living in NJ.  He tells me that his mom cleaned out his old room.  It had boxes of games packed away in there.  In those boxes?  Snatcher, Popful Mail, Space Adventure Cobra, Lunar 1+2... other good games.. argh!  Just tossed in the county dump.  There were all his new copies and in great condition.

That's a shame, any game that working design publish for the sega-cd has become valuable.Since rebuilding my genesis collection.I been able to get popful mail and both lunars again.Still i doubt i'll ever have snatcher again for the sega-cd.

This thread almost hurts to read. Even though I started it. Hah

It's strange that kids now won't really be able to have conversations like this about video games. Soon everything will be digital downloads. So once the server is gone, they won't be able to purchase the best of games as nostalgia. Possibly just buy ports of them on newer systems...

There's not much that I regret, I like getting rid of stuff, but I do regret selling my mint boxed Duo (for $170) and trading away Lords of Thunder and Dracula X for some PSP stuff.
