Hey, Bolo Yeung randomly showed up in a thread!

You break my record, now I break you, like I break your friend! HMPH!

Good idea for the soundtrack there.

80s music rocks. Even when it's bad, and it often is, it's still good. There's an unseriousness about it that makes it better than bad music of the 90s or 00s (or today). Listening to Def Leppard's Pyromania now. Such a good, good album.

You need to get out more. Most of my favorite records are from the 80s too, but great stuff is being released every single week. And Def f*cking Leppard? That shit is the opposite of timeless. The production is dated, the lyrics completely vapid and corny, and the musicianship is about 8th grade level most of the time.

Should have said Number of the Beast, Disintegration, Power Corruption and Lies, Thriller, Keeper of the Seven Keys, Actually, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, 1987 - What the f*ck Is Going On?, In 3D, Violator,  Mummer, Purple Rain, Back to Basics, The Queen is Dead, Closer, Licensed to Ill, ...and Justice for All, Operation Mindcrime, etc etc etc. Def Leppard was easily one of the worst bands of the 80s, better only than the ten thousand clone bands that came after them.

Bother to defend cock rock? Man, I wish someone would. Right now it seems to be the exclusive domain of guys who haven't bought an album in 20 years.

Hah, esteban FTW!

I will second the appreciation for Def Leppard personally. Photograph and Rock of Ages from Pyromania are some of my favorites. The follow up album Hysteria was a rare one for me cause it was a fully packed CD with many great songs instead of filler stuff where you bought a CD with one good hit and the rest was garbage. It's too bad they could never repeat the success of that album.

I also did pick up a taste for Depeche Mode in that era, so I like a bit of Violator and some before and after stuff as well.

Violator is one of the best albums ever made.

Which Def Leopard album has Pour Some Sugar On Me?  Which ever one that is, I bought it off of a classmate for 25 cents when we were in the 6th grade (1988).  The cassette version, of course.
