It's an unwritten law in Japan that every shooter series has to have it's own ''parody''

I was quite skeptical about this whole thing until I spoke with the Wolves of Night about it. It's also quite the gesture on Tobias' part. Honestly, I never thought this sort of thing would happen as there was always such a stigma with repros here. I've expressed this before but I never thought repros were a bad idea especially if they are marked as such. Now, does this mean that there will be less scrutiny on the forums toward those who buy things from PCE Work/Tobias after such a gesture? Well, that still remains to be seen ;) Also, does anyone think this will drive down the price of some of these games since the market will slowly have abundance of these repros floating around? I imagine that some of these will wind up on eBay or social media sales threads/forums just by the fact that I'm starting to see new faces jump out of the wood work here. Maybe a minimal post count may have not been a bad idea but I digress. All that aside, I wouldn't mind having an English language version of Dracula X myself and will definitely be shooting Bernie a pm. This is a great thing from all those involved, I'd like to volunteer to help in any way possible .

I dont know that it will have much effect on the price of repros.  I gave out 400 discs of Sapphire a few years back and still the price of that one is high for a repro.  The originals seemed largely unaffected in price.

I seriously doubt what we are doing will affect the original game price, or Tobias's sales.  This is aimed at the folks just wanting the game itself.  There will always be others that want his full package.  Lets face it, the man does beautiful work.

For Example: Can they put Magical Chase from HuCard to CD?

Sure ... it's a great way to create a PCE-themed beverage coaster.

If you actually want to play the game, then it's not such a good idea.

If you just want to play it without buying it ... Turbo Everdrive.

If you want a physical copy ... https://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=19848.0

I've been wanting a copy of Sapphire (repro or otherwise) for a while so I've been trying to keep track of it and hopefully find a reasonable deal.  Even after giving out all of the repros the price of the original has actually gone up rather steadily.  Ironically, even the Sapphire repro seems to be worth some money now and that's ignoring the unscrupulous people who try to pass off the repro as an original on ebay.
Current want list:  Bomberman 93

I wouldn't put it past Tobias to repress the Sapphire bootie once he exhausts his future plans.

Yes, it's called the Super HuCard ISO.

http://www.zeograd.com/super_hucard_download.php

About 75 games work off a CD bootable menu. There are varying degrees of bugs, but they're mostly playable. Only games that are 256KB or less can be converted to be played this way since that matches the CD RAM size. But yes, it's possible and the idea obviously started with the Gate of Thunder 4-in-1 CD where Hudson made Bonk's Adventure, Bonk's Revenge and Bomberman playable off a CD.

I cannot wait to get a PM back and play these great games. I have not been able to get a Rondo ISO to work correctly on my DUO since purchasing it..... so i am more than excited for this.
Switchzx's amazing quote -
"I was starting with the hardest to get games first. I realized I was never going to get Magical Chase so gave up on it all, sold up and got out."

Blueraven's quote - "it begins."
