Cool. Thanks Touko.

I've been rewriting almost all the interface code to the PCM driver, so I need to retest a lot of things. Also moving stuff around, and making it as flexible as possible.

I also have some print string libs that I'll probably make public. I haven't really seen any for PCE assembly (public).

Hey guys, I'm just writing up the doc/usage file so I can release this MOD-ish driver.. but I'm stuck as what to name it.

Any ideas? Hu-MOD? Hu-XM? <- I picked XM in that example because the audio driver uses linear steps in frequency scale instead of period based scaling.

HuTrack???  :-k

I'd suggest not calling it "XM" anything unless it's actually going to play existing XM mod files.

Yeah, the XM thing is pretty misleading. HuTrack is better than HuMOD, too.

I think HuTrack is the best of the options listed, though HuMod also makes sense.

Well, I didn't name it yet. But here's the first public release: http://www.pcedev.net/audio/SamplePlayer/driver_package_v_1_2_0.zip
There's a demo rom already assembled, if you want to hear a quick sample.

Hopefully everything's cleaned up (nice and neat looking). The README file is like 19 pages long. Took me forever to write that damn thing. If anything isn't clear in the README, post your questions here.

I found a couple of XM files that should be easy to play (very minimal FX to implement). Something to show the driver off. No converter needed; just gonna parse the XM file (minus the samples) inside PCE code. Well.. technically they're MODs converted to XM - but whatever.

Btw, no one read the readme.txt file? No issues?
