Hi, i have the DBZ game over a year and i have tryed to play it sometimes. But as some of you know, it is not an ordinary fighting game. It is... well, special, hehehe

I wanna suggest making a "howto play DBZ" in this forum, because i think it is a great looking game and maybe a great game too. I only know that the "red things" means you are attacking and when it is green, you are on defense :P (will check wich button changes that when i go home this midnight).

Help is welcome :)

This is a very misunderstood game. Personally, I love it to death, and I beat the pants off it many times. Its very original.

I had a crisis some time ago, and had to sell it though, so I haven't played it in probably 8 years, and I can't remember everything.

Basically, right is advance, left is retreat, and up and down make you fly, if you are old enough...I think. I think one button is attack, and the other is...block?

The goal is to beat the guy down so the advantage bar is all your color. At that point it will load a screen where you can chose super moves. If you blow all your chi trying to get to this screen, you won't be able to do much with it, so conserve your chi.

Once you are at that screen, different combinations of the kanji cause different super moves. Often times you have to do just the right move to advance the story, such as the surprise kamahamaha on Tao Pai Pai. If you don't do the move, the dude won't die, or something like that.

The game follows the entire DB, and DBZ storylines stopping...right where the manga did, and the anime should have.

The fastest way to deplete your chi is to shoot long range fireballs, or to blow it on low level supers that aren't getting you anywhere. I'm pretty sure you charge your chi by holding I+II. Something does it.

Use as much punching and kicking as you can (instead of fireballs), and charge as often as you can. Attack, charge, attack, charge, etc. Make sure beat the guy's advantage bar down as much as possible, but don't deplete it totally until you are sure you are charged up. Get him down to one pixel if possible, the charge that last little bit, then take that last little bit off him, and you'll have plenty of chi for the super move screen.

I can't belive I remember all this. I think I sold the game in 1997.
