One week to catch up...
« on: December 27, 2015, 06:04:56 AM »
Yes, it took me a week to catch up.

I'm lying, actually, since there are still some threads I haven't really dug into yet...but at least I can stay afloat now.

CURRENT STATUS:

I have to get the house clean and ready for guests now.

I have three hours.

I want to play PCE, but I can't.

I am washing the flan-encrusted couch slipcover and scrubbing the bathrooms clean. My son misses the toilet 50% of the time. I don't think I can even bleach his urine away. His urine has chemically bonded with the grout.

The kitchen countertop has 1/2 inch of nasty on it. Not sure how I will scrub that away.

Ys I -III PCE soundtrack makes this drudgery a bit less painful :)

Truth.

The cropped image actually looks good. As if the artist was decent.

But the full composition, in its entirety, leaves the viewer with a very different impression.

NW: Hey, I made it on this psycho's Enemies' List, how about that ?? ;)

BT: Look at how the fake SFII' carts instantly sold out and were immediately listed on eBay before the flippers even took possession. Look at Nintendo's overpriced bricks. Look at the typical forum discussions elsewhere.

You can't tell most retro gamers anything!

You have no idea!

My older daughter has given the Pokemon figures to her younger sister, who plays with them all the time. My older daughter is "not a little kid" and now she watches "Attack on Titan" and "Soul Eater"...but she still has a soft spot for Pokemon (she was obsessed with the 3DS game).

I only know the names of 2-3 Pokemon, but my 4.5 year old knows all the names of those figurines. She has the Pokemon play with: Dora, Pirates, astronauts, vampires, etc.

So, yes, all these folks are part of one, big, happy family.

My son, though...he likes putting Pikachu in the Lego towers he makes. But, his love for Pikachu may simply rest on the fact that Pikachu is yellow.
