Sealed games
« on: December 27, 2015, 11:43:45 AM »
I cant believe I've just done this but I've Just bought three sealed hucard Games.
I've only done this once in the 26 years of collecting PC engine games.
That was when I bought Soldierblade when it came out and I opened it straight away and played it.

I've bought and sold my collections three times now and thought the bug had gone
and then this year It hit me once again.
I've bought consoles I've never had and that's great.

But never sealed copies.

What do I do when I get them?

Same thing we all do, play them.

You can shoot a video of opening and playing them though.

Do whatever you want. Personally, I don't care at all.

If you don't want to open it, I guess you could sell it and then buy an opened copy. Might get a few bucks out of it.

I've bought two or three people's PCE "collections" over the years, but have never sold all of my games.

As Black Tiger said, make a goofy video where you open the sealed game(s).

And I trust you give them an adequate amount of love. <3

Open and OBEY them, of course.

Will let you know about my indecision moment when they arrive.

Might make a tin foil hat just in case I'm being controlled.

Back when I was a broke student I used to buy in and sell out of a console one or two at a time pretty much, but now that I don't have to do that anymore it's much better. I dread to think of how much money I wasted trading stuff in to a local game store.

@OP: Open em.

He wouldn't have enough time to shoot a video cause he'll be to busy playing them.  Right?

You mean the hang tab thingy?  Based on stuff I bought new, I think all the jewel case titles did but not the cardboard boxes.

Every format got some hang tabs, but many copies didn't. Kinda like the CD2 stickers on Turbo CD games. The only standard definitive outer packaging is the shrinkwrap and cellophane. Without that, no opened copy is truly complete. There are also hundreds of price tag variants out there.
