I'd add:
* Somer Assault/Mesopotamia
It's not earth-shattering, but I enjoy the mechanics and the "rules" of this puzzle/shooter starring Slinky.
* Hany in the Sky is a weird shooter (due to mechanics...the gun rotates 360 degrees)...sadly, this conceit is more of a gimmick than a worthwhile game design (rotating the gun is more annoying than enjoyable). Sadly, not a great game.
If you had a category called GOOFY I would add:
God Panic — use of cover songs + wacky/weird/scatalogical designs = some genuine, fleeting moments of creativity.
Toilet Boys — Juvenile scatalogical humor. Lame attempt to add some novelty to a otherwise generic Xevious-clone. But, as soon as I say that, I want to play it again. WARNING! BUTTCOPTER APPROACHING! Plus,it teaches dumb Americans how to spell "bidet"...oh, no, it probably doesn't.
JJ & Jeff — Slightly inspired scatalogical humor in platformer a la Wonderboy 1/Adventure Island.
