Heh, that'd actually be cool.  The given stretch goals don't interest me at all, as I've zero f*cks to give for NOBEY versions and I really don't need to see Saru and Nod hanging out in their underwear drawing and coding Yuki.

Though I'm not a fan of kickstarter, I went ahead and pledged at the $39 level.

It's ok, you won't see me coding in my underwear. I don't wear underwear. The only thing I wear while coding is the soft glow of my dual monitors.

Can one of the stretch goals be a Saturn port coded in assembly using both VDPs? And released like, only 3 weeks later? Seems reasonable.

A Saturn port is possible now that there's Jo Engine.

Are JO-crystals compatible with jo-engine?

Also: I hereby forbid any "jo-mama" jokes from this thread.

I wanna try that Sonic game on that link. Looks badass. They should have done that back in the day right away instead of waiting to attempt a 3D one. but I digress. That's a discussion for elsewhere.

Why does the internet have such a hard-on for the Dreamcast? I love the system, i've had mine since the month of launch, but I don't think every retro style game has to be ported to it lol.

I'd much rather do a Sega-CD port and find the best ways to reduce the number of unique colors while keeping everything looking nice. It also suits the premise of the manga and PCE game, being real 16-bit hardware.

It'd also be cool to play as the Mega Drive character and swap out some of the backgrounds inspired by games/series which didn't appear on Genesis/Sega-CD with ones that did.

The first few stages so far are all based on series that appeared on Genesis.

That's a cool idea, and if nothing else would make for a good sequel.
