Turbo CD Recommendations
« on: March 24, 2016, 08:16:04 AM »
I'm looking for some good recommendations for Turbo CD. I only have Spriggan at the moment. I have a few in mind I'd like to get like the Ys games and Castlevania but not sure where to go after that. I'm into Shooters and Platformers.

Thanks for the recommendation! I actually have that for Sega CD. I've heard the Turbo version is better tho. Is it worth trying to pick up if I already have the other version or are the differences not very big.

Get Gate of Thunder instead.

Then Shubibinman 3 for PCE.

Then Exile.

Those three shouldn't break the bank & provide an excellent starting point to what the console has to offer.
Play Turbografx.
Play the Turbografx. PLAY
THE TURBOGRAFX!!!!!!

Buh buh buh, I have almost all teh games evar.  I R TEH BESTEST COLLECTR!!

You want Turbo Lords. The Sega version is a lie.

I also recommend Gate of Thunder, less flamboyant but better as a game than Lords.

Do you have the ability to play Super CDs?

What kinds of games do you like and do not like to play?

What is your tolerance of language barrier?

I dont. Just have regular Turbo with CD attachment. No 3.0 card. Planning on getting either a Turbo Duo or Duo RX at some point when I can find a good deal.  I like Shooters and Platformers. Rpgs also but I still have quite a few I need to play so I'd rather not pick up any more right now. I don't mind language, not easily offended.

You can't play Gate of Thunder, Lords of Thunder or Shubibiman 3 (which I don't recommend anyway).

Here are some cool CD2 games:

Spriggan
Macross 2036
Rainbow Islands
Download 2
Valis III
Super Darius
Sidearms Special
Monster Lair
Exile
Rayxanber II
Auleria
Record of Lodoss War
Splash Lake
Ys I & II
Ys III
Tengai Makyou ZIRIA
Lords of the Rising Sun
Vasteel
