It's a rather boring video.  Was anyone else waiting (hoping) for him to go off on a Franklin-esque tirade?

I skimmed through and it looks like a better title would be "A cheap lot of 5 random games I bought".

yeah, I would dispute the title of the video - those aren't reasons to buy a PCE. but it's still fun to watch!

and I really like that batman game, I don't care what anyone says.

I agree. Batman is great.

Hahahhahahajja.

Pet Shop Boys
Hany in the Sky
Kid Dracula
Batman
...and I forget the last one (I watched it 24 hours ago).

I am actually glad he didn't cover the usual games, but he should have used that as his selling point!

5 totally random games...

Am I the only one who watched it with the sound off?

Had my music on.

I thought it was a creative video and very different from the norm. For me, it was entertaining just because it was different. Granted, I think it would have been better off titled anything else really. maybe 5 fun games you might have missed? Or "here's some PC Engine shit and a puppet!" I was also expecting it to be more slapstick-y since a puppet was talking to me bout the PC Engine, but I digress. Kudos for being different, though! 3/5  ;)

The thing is...it ISN'T different. It's the same f*cking retro know-it-all video we've seen a million times, it just has a puppet on camera. If you close your eyes...see? Same thing. It's not as terrible as some. It has decent audio, no long pauses that could easily be edited out, and at least he's not talking about Dracula X and Sapphire. But man...it's *so* done at this point. Having your own YT show about games is like learning how to play Stairway to Heaven for guitar. Everyone's doing it so one person's minutely different presentation or barely superior performance won't count for much and it gets more annoying every time some new guy learns how to do it.

Maybe some of you are blessed for not knowing there there are now 125,000 TV shows about video games but probably only four of them are actually good. Four is my guess, I've honestly never seen one that was worth regular viewing. If I didn't know about all those other shows, this would probably seem cooler. I've always loved the Muppets and the socially awkward dorks that want to be a part of it so bad they make their own. I'd just rather he talked about skateboarding or vintage daguerreotypes or how to throw a boomerang like you MEAN it.

I mean, see this guy? I f*cking LOVE this guy:

I could watch this guy for days. None of this "In 1990 the 16-bit wars were heating up" and some dude explaining who Miyamoto is.

That fella in the video... :)

BACK ON TOPIC: I'll take a generic muppet over a generic human YouTuber any day!

...and so would you! Admit as much! :)

Now, if only we could infuse the muppet with a unique personality and charisma....WE WOULD BE UNSTOPPABLE.

Un.
Stoppable.

Ok then, let's talk about the puppet then. Why does it look like GG Allin in a ninja turtle mask?

I really didn't want to watch this video, but since this thread is about to hit 3 pages I have fallen victim to the hype.

I work at a bank and this guy sounds just like the awful trainers that come in to teach us stuff in 8 hours we could learn in 4.  His delivery is too Corporate America and I get enough of that shit at work all day.  I actually had high hopes when the Muppet was dressed as Hulk Hogan, but the opening video didn't match the Muppet's persona as a reviewer.  Plus, Batman is a great game so his opinion sucks too.

Do you ever search for a game video on YouTube and you just want to see gameplay video with in-game audio playing?  Half of the time you need to click on 5 videos which have some a$$hole in the background talking and saying nothing of value before you get to a pure gameplay video.  Then when you do find a gameplay video, half of those have a 90 second intro showing someone's basement walls with a guitar rift I could've concocted by rubbing my nuts on an broken viola.

I was trying to show somebody a game that way and couldn't find a video without some jerk talking so I ended up just booting up an emulator and a rom because that was less of a hassle than trying to watch 5 or 6 videos to find one that's just the game and not some uninteresting opinions.

If only!

Listen, if that muppet smeared his own feces on his chest and pranced around with his felt balls exposed to the camera, the video still wouldn't be half as offensive as GG Allin.

But...if he shoved the Toy Shop Boys HuCARD up his arse whilst yelling "Heil Hany!"

...well, at least we would be in the ballpark.

I'm not saying it's similarly offensive, I'm saying it looks like him. The crappy leather jacket, the oxygen deprived complexion, the dead yet intense junky gaze. They even made his hair red. GG wasn't born with red hair of course but he did bleed a whole lot so it looked red often.
