Well, if it's being flipped, at least it's paired with a bootleg and not used to get an extra $1000 paired with a loose HuCard.

I actually think it was an extra and sold at a loss, I got it for 10 bucks anyways. I think the original pricing was like 12 or something like that, but I don't recall now. Still, really nice box :P

Has anyone noticed that he's buying sealed games?  Like that Monster Lair is sealed, that Air Zonk is sealed, that silent debuggers, the riot zone he posted about early in the thread.

That's what he was doing when he first showed up to show off his hauls. He opens them when he's ready to play them, which infortunately has taken a back seat to collecting.

I also have a lot of sealed games that replaced incomplete or missing titles that I needed. I'm trying to save opening them for a video series I'm working on.

The big difference between us though, is that I paid the imaginary "wishful thinking" prices that people like pp say don't exist or you'd have to wait "forever" for.

Actually none of those games are sealed, i'm actually quite surprised someone would be that easily tricked by Air Zonk, considering it's just one of those game protector wrappers with an adhesive seal. Monster lair is not only not sealed, but I bought the disc/plastic case from Jello here, and the box itself from someone else. It does however have shrink wrap around the box, so I could see being confused. None of them are sealed though, whoever sold them to the people I bought them from just kept the wrapper on. The Splatterhouse coming my way also has the shrink wrap, but is not sealed. I'd be shocked if most people here don't have something like that.

I believe on TG16, I only own a few sealed titles out of the 90 I have, and they were sold at a fair, used price. Keep on trying though, for real. I don't buy new games though, not unless the price is the same as used, simply because I don't want to destroy the supposed value because i decided to open it.

It's a shame people here make so many assumptions without even asking, I spent a couple hours and about 80 bucks modding Atari 5200 controllers yesterday so that I can play the system, I feel I go quite an extensive length to make sure all my stuff can be played, but then someone here diminishes all that because they spotted shrink wrap.

Yeah, right. A long time ago... Who cares?

P.S. Its been nearly a year since you bought 20 dupes or more from Oscar. Did you get a good flipping price for them? You clearly didn't offer them up to the community.
Hey, you.

I could be absolutely wrong, but I don't imagine anyone who started buying on Turbo when I did was likely to run into enough sweet deals to amass the titles I wanted to find in their entirety. The issue is that while you might get a few great deals being frugal, you'll likely leave other stuff off the table forever, especially as things trend in the more severe way. Look at NeoGeo, it's basically pointless to bother at this point, i'm sure people years ago thought they were crazy too.

Obviously if I knew waiting would help me save I would, but the market seems to make these quite difficult to find. Thankfully, if all you want is to play them, there are nice alternatives now like those repros or emulation.

Or imports. Many Japanese versions are still way cheaper and require zero English. I certainly wouldn't have Cotton, Bonk 3 or Soldier Blade if I were buying US copies. There are countless examples. Magical Chase is still pricey for a Japanese hu, but it's pennies compared to a US copy. Plus there are so many great games that never made it over as well.

Same here with Bonk 3. Have yet to get cotton. And what's its name. There is cotton and another similar cd shooter.

Which part is a lie? The part that you bought dupes from syphic, or the fact that they were never offered up to the community? I don't know if you flipped them after getting a great deal or not, which is why I asked. I noticed you avoided that question, just like you locked the thread last time. Maybe you flipped 'em, maybe you didn't. Who knows for sure. You desperately tried to change the conversation last time, accusing me of getting in to your personal business, just because syphic consulted me before he sold you Beyond Shadowgate.

Hell, you even admitted you had extra stuff...

I've already talked about how I have been picking up pieces of games to add manuals and cases to some of my TurboChips which need them and how the remaining pieces will get added to the extras I already have to trade for some of the pieces I still need.

It wouldn't surprise me if one of the loudest voices decrying gougers was actually a secret gouger. That would be delicious irony.
Hey, you.
