Whoa there, Phase!
Thanks for the links!
They'll help me make adjustments until I can get some scans together.

I'm hoping to find some games at some used game stores here in Edmonton, preferably with cases intact, but I won't hold my breath.
If any of you guys out there can also have a look around, I'd really appreciate it.
Assuming I find something, I'm going to ask the staff if I can just take some photographs for historic documentation or some such.
I'll even pay them for their time.
Failing that, I'll likely dump some cash on a game with a long title - hopefully something good.

I'm at work now, but when I get home, I'll make a comparison image between the first sample and my latest version so you guys have some progress to look at.

Comparison!

Thanks again for the support, everyone! :)

Back in 2005, I had dreams of putting up nice, clean scans of all North American HuCARDs, CDs, manuals...

...but I never finished scanning all my stuff.

Except for the few PCE cards, those are all my original TG-16 games from back in 89'-'94...although we had more.

Actually, those games belong to my two brothers, too. We pooled all of our money for every purchase.

Neat idea. Seems some of the less common capitol letters might be hard to come by though. Or maybe not, since the lowercase are really just short caps. In a pinch they could be rescaled.

Alright guys, I'm a little late...
I said I'd release a version of the font in its current state at the end of June, and now it's a week into July.
I'd like to say I got caught up with something, but I was totally just being lazy over the long weekend (Canada Day).
So here it is:
MediaFire
TinyUpload

Remember, this is a work-in-progress; the fully-refined font is still coming, but not for a while.
I've spent so much time in the editor that I'm dizzy and probably cross-eyed. lol
So having said that, I'm gonna take a break from working on the font.
I'll pick it up again in probably a week or two (not that I imagine anyone is terribly anxious about it).

Anyway, enjoy what I've finished so far -- maybe make something cool with it. :p
Cheers!

Another Canadian on the forum eh...  which part of Moose Country are you from?  I got hit with some nasty Canada Day traffic.

@esteban: Of course I'll be back!
I've wanted this font for years, and now I'm able to make it, so giving up is not an option!

@Clash: Alberta. :) Edmonton for the last 8 years or so, but I'm originally from Hinton.

If Hinton doesn't ring any bells, most people know it as the smelly pulp mill town that they stop in for gas on their way to Jasper. lol
When you're living there, you don't really notice the smell as much (depending on wind direction), and it has a beautiful view of the Rockies.

It used to be a little town in the sticks, and all we were really known for was our food.
L&W is one of the best family restaurants around (poutine with steak-cut fries? yes, please!), and nobody beats Gus's as far as pizza is concerned.

In the last decade or so, they've been expanding here and there and have even put up some "history installations".
Like, you know how at a nature park, there are signs telling you about the plants and the wildlife?
Kind of like that, only about the town's history. Also bears and mountain lions. lol
So now it's a moderate-sized town in the sticks. :P

They've also been trying to make the town more fun by adding a pretty okay skate park, and one of the biggest bike parks in the country.
You can check out some videos of each by clicking those links.
From the skate park, you can see the aforementioned pulp mill, as well as the rec centre and library.

As for Edmonton, there's not much to say. It's Edmonton.
We have a couple okay sports teams, lots of libraries, and a murder rate that rivals New York City.

Anyway, I guess that's all a little off-topic, but considering that this thread doubles as my introduction to the forums, now you guys know a little about me (or where I'm from at least)! :)

I live in Buffalo and have visited Toronto and southern Ontrio countless times.  I have done Canada as far west as the Michigan border and east to Montreal.  I would like to go even further west someday.

Hey guys!
That's right! I'm still alive! And it's update time!

Turbo Legacy Version 0.1:
I'd call this version around 70% complete, and 90% accurate; a vast improvement to the previous version.
+ Capital letters were adjusted to be slightly shorter.
+ All characters were adjusted for accuracy.
+ Many characters were added or replaced, such as currency symbols.[/color]
- Accented characters are currently improperly spaced.
- Accents themselves are off-center and commonly touching the tops of characters.
MediaFire
TinyUpload

I've already updated the first post as well.
Enjoy!

Thanks for the font - it is pretty radical.
