As a FYI, the N1 is usually quite a bit cheaper and can play all LD-ROM2 games.  What it can't play is TG16 hu-cards, but it does play everything else.  So unless you are looking specifically to play all US games with no converter, the N1 is a good starting point and it also turns ups more often.

FWIW - if you do happen to get one of these, make sure you recap it ASAP.  My Pac-n1 had chunks of solder mask peel off the board from cap fluid leak
