Gredler Binding of Isaac is a really fun game, played quite a bit on steam many years ago. Was thinking about getting it for either 3DS or Vita, so I'm wondering how the Switch version compares as a handheld port. Great game for quick bursts of action and a really fun and great atmosphere.

I got it on steam for under a dollar at one point, with super meat boy I think, and never put a lot of time into it. I felt like it had a flash game feel to it, and the grotesque art and story were a bit off putting. This was right around the time it came out, and now after hearing so much praise and seeing people play it a lot (friends often are online playing it, and around the office I see people playing it) I think dang maybe I didn't give it a good enough chance. The nostalgia of the packaging makes me think about buying it, and supporting the developers is also something I wouldn't mind doing.

Looks like there IS a defect in some left joy cons, so if yours is disconnecting often and easily then you can get it repaired. Apparently a variation in manufacturing has caused some to perform poorly.

The joycons that came with my switch seem to be more prone to disconnect than the ones I purchased a couple weeks later separately, so this makes more sense to me.

The problem seems to be about the placement of the bluetooth antenna in some Joy-Cons. It's too close to a shielding and where the hand is covering it. An experiment to extend the antenna in the opposite direction seems to have been effective:

Nice, ninja rollout of hardware revisions will mean this will be fixed soon, and us early adoptors are either screwed or will need to throw a fit with nintendo to get them "fixed"

I think I heard a rumor that there may be a recall.

That doesn't sound like a Nintendo thing to do.

That guy on the left (Ian?) looks and sounds like he is in a significant amount of pain, seems grueling for him to do this podcast.

Hope he feels better soon somehow, that seems very rough whatever he is heating his stomach for.

Apparently, he had to go to many different doctors and specialists before he was properly diagnosed. He was in pain the entire time (4-6 months?).

I never heard of the condition before, but it was described as "nerves grow into your muscles" and the only "cure" is to wait until the nerves "work their way out" of the muscles (un-embed themselves).

Again, don't mistake my description for an authentic medical description...it was simply what I gleaned from the podcast.

Why can't they ever do their podcast somewhere else?  Maybe they do? Not sure since I've only seen a couple years ago. Why always have to have on game shirts or be in front of your game collection?  Why try so hard like you still have something to prove?

What was the diagnosis exactly? I saw him a few years ago in a hallway at one of our game conventions we help run. I shoulda said Hi but didn't.

Stack of games = instant credibility.

Asking them to perform elsewhere would be removing their crutch that provides then with confidence they may not naturally have.

Whatever his issue is I do wish him well.  Clash I think you are right on though.  Besides no LA in the shot so it already loses awesome points.

Haven't noticed any warping with mine, but this still should be a concern:

I think people are just accidentally sitting on them but I admit it's entirely possible that overheating could be a major concern. I'm gonna take mine on vacation with me to Milwaukee this weekend. We'll see how it behaves. Now to figure out how to charge the thing without the base. That's one of the very few things about the Switch that angers me (with the exception of the left Joycon's "directional pad" lol).
