At my job they sent out a message saying no playing Pokemon Go.  I guess somebody in a call center was snapping pictures of pokemon and failed to recognize there was confidential data on their computer screen.  Not sure if they ever posted the picture to social media or if it was caught before they did, but it turned into a big security fear by management.

Just read the email. It was actually in line with your statement.


It's for employees informing us that the use of augmented reality games are prohibited from operation within VA facilities. As personal details constitute and unacceptable risk to VA facilities.


Then it also makes comment that if you do play the popular new game Pojemon Go to exhibit consideration of data breach of your google account and use of the game while driving or to travel to strange locations at night.


So it's more of a PSA to be safe don't Pokemon and Drive as well.

Dumbass, not unheard of though. Had a dumbass stand directly in the creek 2 weekends ago trying to catch one with his IPhone. Watched him slip and saw his phone float down the creek. Needless to say, its sleeping with the fishies. Wish I would have gotten a video of it.

I don't know Pokemon, but I tease my daughter all the time about PSYDUCK because we were near a huge lake and NO HUMAN CIVILIZATION for the first week she has the game.

I said: " Don't worry, Squirtles and Psyducks live in the lake."

She was not amused when I repeated that statement a billion times over the course of a week.
