Flicky (Sega Genesis) - HailingTheThings
« on: July 25, 2016, 02:16:28 AM »
I stumbled across this gem last night during an ebay search and immediately thought of HailingTheThings. I've never even heard of the game, has anyone tried it?

Fun game, never got good at it. I think if you get far enough there's a photo of a naked lady

Ever try the even older sega sg-1000 port? It doesn't have the annoying lizards.

Flicky > Flicky's Island > Nights

Flicky is an awesome game to try and max out your score.

The arcade version is on a Saturn Memorial comp, usually pretty cheap.

It's quite fun and frustrating . I'm surprised some of you haven't already had the pleasure. I've had a couple of sega compilations it's been on.

It's on the large majority of Sega compilations. It can be fun after you get the hang of the controls but that's a task in itself. They're so slippery!

Fun game. I played it a while back, I think it was on that ps3/360 compilation? Or maybe the ps2 one, I can't remember. :3

Probably both. I know I had to achieve above a certain score to get a trophy.

Flicky's fun for a little bit, but I assumed it was on a lot of compilations/Genesis official multicarts because it was only 128k and thus useful for padding out the ROM after the menu code was put in there.  :P

Yeah one of the few 1 meg games on the Genesis. If I'm not mistaken I think Columns is the only other 1 meg game on the system. How big is Fatal Labyrinth? That was a Sega modem game in Japan so it can't be huge.

I played Flicky a billion years ago... it's OK(?) but there are other, more worthwhile games featuring CUTE CATS to obsess over (such as the addictive CITY CONNECTION).

City Connection has CUTE CATS and is fun-as-hell.

That is all.

That GBA game *cant even compare* to the cute cats in City Connection!

:)

I should clarify: I spent a billion hours playing the NES version...I bet the arcade version might have had an even cuter cat!
