Thanks for the info. Not a random person fwiw as you alluded too twice. And i'm not lobbying i was curious in case someone had taken it upon themselves to do a translation for either game and i was missing it while searching.
Nazo no masquerade was being translated according to romhacking but was kind of abandoned as far as i can tell.
If anyone else has any thoughts that's cool. Just don't try too hard to read between the lines of my question it really is just that, a question.
I'm not sure why you're seemingly taking offense over that post, it was just conversation in this area... You're counting how many times random was used ?? And think that somehow wasn't an appropriate choice of word ?
I'm also not sure why you're denying there's an inherent form of lobbying here (
you want certain games translated, and hope someone, somewhere will start or continue projects on them), but it wasn't an ironclad judgement given my phrasing. There wasn't an implied criticism in lobbying (unless it's excessive). Pointing to great games could lead to them getting under somebody's radar, it's not impossible, but the point I was making is that don't hold your breath in that regard, and that the interest usually has to come from the hacker/fan translation team. Members of the public, random or "not random," whatever, aren't the deciding main factor given the investment that goes into them (
%/odds are small you could get someone to translate something you like is all I'm saying).
Anyway, I don't think we can use Google any better than you can, but another recent PCE translation site that popped up and I was reminded of is by cabbage:
http://pce.lifeabroad.org/. He did a recent translation on "Valkyrie no Densetsu," a Namco game. That'd be one to keep in mind, but for the most part, you can usually find most everything from RHDN which you already know and you won't really find a PCE-dedicated equivalent (
if you want a straight answer to your question). Also, we have other members here working on "Legend of Xanadu I & II" in case you don't know given you're a newly registered member.
P.S. Mooz can be found on #utopiasoft on #efnet, the guy who started the "Nazo no Masquerade" project you're interested in. I would simply contact him to see what's going on with it. He's also
a registered member here, so a simple PM would do.
