PC Engine has a superior version of Aero Blasters

If you like Thunder Force, check out Gate of Thunder or W-Ring.

If you like Megaman, try SonSon II. It's also by Capcom, but more complicated. this site will help http://www.changevworld.com/sonson2/sonson2.htm

Some of my personal favorites are

Platformer: Bonk 2, Liquid Kids, Ninja Gaiden, Ninja Spirit, Rondo of Blood, Parasol Stars

Shooter: Salamander, Galaga 88, Override, Soldier Blade, Gunhed

Adventure: Wonder Boy III, SonSon II, Neutopia 2, Ys IV, Momotaro Katsugeki

Miscellaneous: River City Ransom, Super Dodgeball, Tenchi Wo Kurau, Bomberman 94, Kaze Kiri

What is your favorite NES game, and why is it Crystalis?

Honestly - it has to be crystalis.  It was my first action adventure RPG played and finished.

I loved it because:
The story line was sick- just seemed to have no limits was vast and worldly.
Tasks/side quests -  some were very puzzling/challenging, some logical, but when you completed them (in the right order) the payoff is well worth it - u get to teleport, u get to ride a dolphin, u  get meet Kensu/zebu...crazy gameplay!  Ahead of its time
The music - probably  best ever
Level up/battle system - 4 elemental swords, power boots, magic
Characters/graphics

If anyone loved it too let me know ur thots or games on pc engine that can trump it??

Took me (and all my brothers) forever to , the story seemed to have no limits,

Crystalis is pretty dawn awesome. I'm not sure of any on hucard that matches the atmosphere and music of that game. As far as CD games, I'm sure there are. Hudson really messed up be not doing a high quality Neutopia 3 on SCD. But Ys I&II on PCE CD is better than Crystalis IMO as an action RPG.

If you like Megaman, try SonSon II. It's also by Capcom

More like if you like Black Tiger, try SonSon II. It's a re-imagined game of Black Tiger (same game engine; same company). I never heard anyone comparing Black Tiger to Megaman though ;>_>

Yeah, I was gonna say...more like Shockman/Shubibinman is the blatant Mega/Rockman ripoff.

Need some advice doujindance had a duo-r for sale right now. It's been goin up and down off eBay.  I want my first investment to be a good lasting one.  I've read some feedback on forums.... should I wait for future opportunity on either ifu or duo-r?

I def want rgb mod.

I'll second Mickcris's Duo's.

Hard to find them at the price, fixed and modded anywhere else.

Also, I have been on a repairing spree lately fixing doujindance machines. There not worth it once you need to sink another $50 - $200 to repair what he put in the machine.

Rip your game using TurboRip, apply the patch using whatever instructions it comes with, burn a cdr of the resulting ISO, and have fun!

Or use google to find a pre-patched ISO, which is what this dumb robot does because he's too dumb to run the patch properly.

I wish there was a mac version.

We're getting Neutopia III in 199X.  Everyone just needs to be patient.  Dammit

Avoid doujindance like the plague.  You can buy a stock system and have one of the guys here on the forums mod it.

YES. It has been quite a headache for many users on this forum. Thanks, Woody.
