I gave this game a try after discovering it has a translation patch and it's quite a bit of fun with quirky humor and a unique gameplay mechanic of needing to take pictures while avoiding falling underwear, rolling skateboards and bouncing dodgeballs.
What do you think of the game?
It's totally fun and keeps you on your toes, despite the goofy, juvenile aesthetics.
Personally, I like all the 80's pop culture references, but I wonder if some folks miss some of it?
You don't mind replaying this game because there are so many little details crammed into any given screen...it's nice to know that you *must* replay it to savor all the fleeting events...which, by the way, creates a real sense of "urgency" (later in the game, you really don't have much leeway if you miss things...it is a frenetic, but still *fun* sense of urgency...I think it is well done).
I have a soft-spot for quirky games. This game really is a decently-executed game based on a refreshing mechanic/concept.
LOVE THOSE FRONT PAGES!
I wish there was an extra "challenge mode" (one-off side-missions) that would randomly throw out stuff and you had to identify a "theme" to photograph... it could be minor...like, you have to take photos of "insects only"... you would try to beat your own time, but it was one stage with random stuff to keep the game "fresh" for folks who grew tired of the main, scripted game.
