Of those mentioned, I'm subbed to Happy Console Gamer, Metal Jesus, Game Sack, Gaming Historian, Pat (for their podcast topics, mainly), LGR, and AVGN; Happy Console Gamer, Game Sack, Gaming Historian, and LGR are my favorites of the 10 ranked channels. Super Bunnyhop (honorable mention on the video) doesn't really count as a retro gaming channel as he mainly talks modern video games; awesome channel, though. AVGN is enjoyable, but has declined over the years, same with Classic Game Room; that said, I feel they still belong on the list.

I would have included Spida1a, Derek Anderson (Happy Video Game Nerd), Retro Core, Kim Justice, and Lukemorse1. I probably would also include John's Arcade as he specializes in arcade hardware, even if he gives off an annoying Adam Richman-vibe.

I feel Twitch >>> YouTube in terms of gaming content, especially given all the copyright BS YouTube has; my subbed Twitch channels are Dead_Flip (pinball), The Mexcian Runner (NES speedrunner and a Chrontendo-like series, NESMania), LordBBH (MAME streamer), Macaw (streamer of obscure games and consoles) and soon-to-be Puri_Puri (Playstation, Saturn, and Dreamcast streamer).

What an incredibly hollow concept.

Great, I'm depressed now.

What's most pathetic about stuff like this is that there is honestly a TON of incredibly good shit on YouTube. I watch it constantly. I recently discovered AvN and Synthesizer Dave, both amazing. The idea of a crappy game wall show with enough clout to make or break 10 of the 10 million other shitty game wall shows with some kind of...award game wall show or something is like...who f*cking cares?! Especially in 2016, where there aren't even 10 good game developers left.

Wankery, pure and simple.

There are not 10 good game developers? That's an amazing statement and opinion.

Everything is shit. I don't even need to watch this video. Everything needs to be in digestible bits of top 10.

Nerd culture.

I enjoy some of their lists, if only for nostalgia's sake or diving into something new, but this is incredibly unnecessary. They must have run out of "Top 10 songs to drive you crazy" and "Top 10 celebrity nude scenes."

Sorry, that's not fair. I guess what I meant to say is that of all the makers of games I've enjoyed in my life, there aren't 10 of them left at this point. I was in a "retro" mindset and getting excited about game wall shows when the industry I knew and loved is a smoking ruin seems like bad taste.

It would have been better to say that all my favorite game developers have either gone out of business or worse and there aren't still 10 left that I care about.

Well, I'm sure we all know the experience, we see a video title:

"Top 10 _______ OF ALL TIME!"

and think "Great!" and sit down to watch it.

And the items in the list are from 2016, 2016, 2014, 2013, 2013, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2004, and... 1985.
