Here.  Try it.  I fixed it, but am currently eating and don't really feel like getting to a battle in the game, lol

I don't have an Everdrive.  So the only way I'd be able to play it is if someone put it on a card and sent it to me.

Lol, I tried it out in Magic Engine and it is an overall improvement.

Now there are no sound effects during battle. :P

So are you saying that the music keeps playing now or that there is no sound effects as well as no music?

Sounds like their sound engine doesn't have the concept of sound effects, and it kills the main channel without returning to it.

... and the "fix" stops the main music from shutting off, which then prevents the SFX from ever happening.

My suggestion: Cry about it.  We never had music in the game at all outside of the title screens, lolol.   BE THANKFUL YOU HAVE SOME MUSIC

Not crying about it at all.  Just have always found it interesting that this game made it out the door with this noticeable bug.  You always had music in the game, just not the battle music once you did something.

SOLUTION: Record one of OotG's chiptunes onto an audio cassette (chrome/metal with Dolby noise reduction). Loop the song until it fills entire 90 minute cassette.

Repeat process for each song.

Clearly label each cassette.

You now have, at your fingertips, every song for the game.

Procure a cheap sound mixer and tape deck (a Walkman will suffice).

Combine audio sources from TG-16 and tape deck with the mixer. You may choose to add a microphone, too, especially when narrating the battles.

As needed, insert appropriate cassette and press "play" and/or "pause".

TIP: Although some folks find it unnecessary, I enjoy combining the sound mixer with CMX strobe lights. It creates a very distinctive gaming experience. Personally, I also have a pair of tambourines nearby at arm's length, should the need for arise.

Have a very TurboXMAS. :)

Absolutely. I cheat a little and beef up my voice by boosting the bass. It's an old gaming tip from my 2600 days...

So are you saying that the music keeps playing now or that there is no sound effects as well as no music?

Was this answered? Cause I'm honestly OK with just music and no sound effects during battles.  :)
