Ha!

I didn't know about it until joining the forums...

Even then, folks would talk about it, but I didn't really pay attention...thinking it was in a genre I wasn't interested in at the time (i.e. simulation).

I must have confused the title with some other game.

Then...one day...

It's definitely cute and quite fun, especially in multiplayer.

Someday, some a$$hole will have booties of it.

I've been hearing rumors of such a thing since the Obama administration but not seen any progress.

Now we can blame the delays on the fact that Trump is blocking duck migrants from entering the country.

I tried this game with some friends a while ago but we couldnt figure out how to play . seemed like it would be a lot of fun if we knew what was going on. what constitutes winning?

You walk over eggs to pick them up and have them follow, and eventually they'll hatch and return to your home; you get points at the end of the round based on the number of chicks you have and their color.  Charge up to fight (or defend against) another player, shake the bushes for power ups (speed, charge time, etc.), drop egg blocks in front of other's homes to keep their chicks from making it home, and keep your own home clear by destroying other's dropped egg blocks.

that pretty much covers it. iirc i almost had a  handle on it but the group consensus was to change games.  will definitely be giving it another shot

I stumbled on this game too, but in a dumb way.  Years ago I bought my Turbografx CD system that came with a bunch of stuff including a Super PC Engine Fan Deluxe magazine.  I quickly thumbed through it, I didn't think much of the magazine and it sat on the shelf.  About 10 years later during a move, I looked though it again and I realized for the first time that there were discs in the back of the magazine.  Basically Motteke Tamago was on my shelf for 10 years before I played it.

Definitely a fun multiplayer game.
