Too bad this didn't all come up a few months ago when GameMaker was a whoppin' 1$.

Construct blows game maker out of the water ;) But seriously, "Baby's first game" engines like those can put together games so danm quickly the art is usually the bottle neck.

Too bad its not that easy to do PCE stuff, lol.

LOL I like that. Baby's first game

On a related note, I am intrigued by this thread. And fragmere's sprites look pretty amazeballs.

Earth calling Bonknuts ... Earth calling Bonknuts ... Earth calling ccovell ... Earth calling ccovell ...

I've been asked by the DESiRE guys too, but I think this year I'll be too busy to make involved code for a(nother) project.

That's sad, I'd really hoped that this would be something that you'd love to do, and have time for.

IMHO, you and Bonknuts are the most technically-capable and adventurous guys here.

Absolutely ... that game has got to be made on the PCE!

There's way too much excellent work there to have it just sit and suffer bit-rot on fragmare's hard drive.

Holy crap fragmare, this stuff is amazing! It's like, the PC engine Contra we never got! I'm seriously impressed by your pixel artwork...
I wish I could see this in action though, it looks like it would have a lot of amazing parallax scrolling...

I remember all of it; it's fantastic.  Ahh, alas, time and talent is wanting in most of us.

I remember them as well, though, they still make me drool all these years later!  Also, am I wrong, or was Nate almost done with the music for Xymati?  I recall him having several tracks done, including I think the final stage tune.

Last I heard, he *is* done with it.  I'm sure he'd like to go back and tweak some things, but yea... it's complete.

This thread is bittersweet.

My heart just broke, again.

And again.

I can't believe so much time has simply evaporated.

I remember some videos on TubeYou for Xymati?
