#1 wasn't thaaaaat expensive before, plus they're doing the remake.

This is because people are dumb, unless you are really never going to play the game and only collecting for "rarity" then the difference is like nothing.  The bits on the disc are still the same.

well literally the only difference is the case.
this reprint came in a super shitty case that feels like nothing, so I swapped it into a spare PS2 case I had laying around.
so it's extra stupid.
like, the manual and art are the same, so who could possibly care or tell the difference?
