My copy of Jackie Chan is dead. I'm holding onto it in case at some point someone comes up with a real method of fixing hucards. I sure wish it'd been Keith Courage that died instead ](*,)

We need a TurboGrafx 16 grave yard. Or a freezing chamber (like you're hoping for) we can put them in, incase someone from the future learns how to bring the living back from the dead

My copy of Jackie Chan is dead.

My condolences. To honor your loss, I have elected to watch 'Rush Hour' and 'Drunken Master' on my day off.

My past-life would've surely led to our demise, and I had left it not a moment too soon. Our escape, though dangerous, had gone well. The train ride, sunlight, and passing snow-covered pine trees came together in a flickering show of our bright, new future together. Her head rested on my shoulder as she soundly slept to the gentle rocking of the passenger car. We felt freedom. We felt peace.

I have a dead Cratermaze loosie.

Want a dead cadash looseie?? O:)

I say we all take off all the black parts and put them on different games like people do with nes games.

I once did that to a friend of mine for an April Fools Day joke. He only had about 30 NES games at the time, but it took him 15 games before he realized what was going on. I was laughing so hard after and helped him get his games back to normal

It takes so long!! 30 carts would take like an hour of constantly screwing/unscrewing. I guess if you cleaned them at the same time it would really be worth it. It's amazing how much gunk is left on those boards even after rubbing alcohol.

Yeah, I used to clean my NES/Genesis games by taking them apart to clean the contacts too but it is a lot of work. Nowadays I just use 90% rubbing alcohol and eyeball the contacts to make sure they don't look too gunky. If it looks real bad I'll crack it apart but try to avoid it if I can.
Gredler: spread her legs and push her down to make her more lively
***
majors: You used to be the great man, this icon we all looked up to and now your just a pico collecting 'tard...oh, how the mighty have fallen...
***
_joshuaTurbo: Sex, Lies, Rape and Arkhan. A TurboGrafx love story

It's a ridiculous amount of work cleaning those pins. I've been backlogged on cleaning, so I constantly have a stack of SNES/NES games that aren't with the rest because I haven't cleaned them yet. That's good you do that though, especially with NES games. Prolonging getting your machine dirty, and not having to boil down the 72 connector so frequently. And besides, I don't think anyone likes that hot plastic small.
It reminds me of leukaemia and respiratory cancer

Never heard of this, but until joining this forum, I had never heard of washing PCBs in the dishwasher either.

Yeah man, it's a very popular way to fix the blinking red light on NES consoles. It cleans it, and makes them malleable enough to slightly bend them so it has a better connection when you put a game in.

I know you're not going to believe me so you're gonna google it anyways :D

There's pics posted here of the insides of a SFII' and an Arcade Card Pro, ya just gotta hunt for them.

now that I haven't seen - I knew what the inside of a regular card looked like, but not that. Unfortunately it seems the images are dead, but I guess the answer is "there's nothing under there": http://www.pcenginefx.com/forums/index.php?topic=4076.15

It's crazy how little there is inside, compared to like a NES board.
