I almost put on Dawn of the Dead earlier and now just a few hours later I'm reading this sad news.

RIP.

George Romero was truly an innovator back in the day and he broke new ground in the horror genre I love.  The original dead trilogy, Martin, and Creepshow are required viewing.

I hate Zombie movies, so I didn't even know who he was until this post. It's safe to say that I could care less about his horror directing career.. however iconic it may be.

Yes, I have seen a few of his movies. Keep in mind I didn't even like Shaun of the Dead. It was an eye-roller.

Sucks when someone dies though. Sorry to all the horrorgeeks for your losses.

Watch Knightriders.

Think of that film as his legacy.

I watched Martin again last night, my gf had never seen it.  One of my top 10 horror movies, very underappreciated.

If you've never seen It, the full movie is available on YouTube and it actually looked decent when I streamed it to my TV.

Watch it if you never did... it's public domain so I can post it here.

RIP George Romero.

I'll give the movie a chance though.

Most folks don't like it.

But it's...a classic tale, merely "updated" in a few ways.

Also, most folks don't like it.

But there is something charming* about it.

Again, I'll give any movie a chance. But if it ends up like "Interstellar" or "The Haunting" I'm gonna just watch SHIELD reruns.
