Fake Dynastic Hero Help?
« on: July 24, 2017, 10:25:40 AM »
Trying to determine if my sealed Dynastic Hero is a fake. The reasons I'm doubting it are:
The manual has wear.
The other sealed duo games I have didn't have that band going around the shrink wrap.
The manual's spine looks worn.
Looking at it through the sides it also looks like there aren't any pages in the manual.

If any one has any pictures of Dyanstic Hero's manual or the back art itself I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks, guys

Also, if this is in the wrong forum please let me know.

Open it up and find out.  There's no known pressed discs using art identical to the originals, and you'll be able to count pages and better see the quality of paper/printing used.

Might be a reseal.

But if you think it's fake send it to be for the cost of posting. I'll open it and play it.

Absolutely.

Open that up so I can compare it to mine (which is already opened).

Also, it will be fun to see if the version you have (TTi, North America) is similar/different than mine (Japanese version).

I will take photos.

I find it interesting that a game that was mail order through Turbo Zone Direct only and not sold in stores has a hangtab.

Looks fake, judging by the pictures of the manual through the bottom/top of the case. Either open it up or return it. Pick one.

lol I think that is fake.   the doofy spine leads me to believe this, along with the wear that is usually the result of less-good-quality print shop print+fold procedures.

That's definitely not a factory seal, so there's no point in keeping your copy less valuable by leaving bootleg packaging around the exterior.

The manual pages do tend to remain tight to each side, but one of those side views looks different.

The colors look off, but it could just be the poor lighting of the photos.

"THE LAND OF TARROM..." text should be cobalt and the text below the recycled paper notice looks like it is supposed to be the same ink/color as the cover's giant DUO logo.

You back photo looks like there is an extra strip of print along the top that shouldn't be there. The artwork pic with the logo near the top ends at the top, just as it ends at the orange stripe below.

I did. I honestly just need dynastic hero to complete my cd collection and I threw a bid on it. Guess I should've taken the time to really look over the pictures.
