Soldier Blade

So a new year and a new month for Game of the Month. We will start the year off right with a shooter everyone should know of by now. Soldier Blade! Was able to scoop this game when it got released around when I got my Duo. I was always a fan of Soldier series. This is a fantastic shooter and I love the 2 and 5 minute runs on this game. So lets start this month off right and post some scores!

I gotta pick this game up for sure. It sounds great. I'm guessing it's fast-paced, right?

Get off your ass? Hell, I still need to unpack from MAGFest and reconnect 13 consoles. It looks like a good day for that today, since it's raining! Soldier Blade could just be the motivation I needed to tackle the project.

I am finally back, though I had to add Shin to my name, cause I couldn't recover my password on my old username.  With that said I think I'm going to try and get in on this month's game.  So what is everyone's prefered shot/power up in this?

Blue "lightening" is my goto. But if I recall, some stages I'll switch it up to better dispatch the baddies.

I mostly stick to blue.  I'd rather have more power than be able to shoot behind me.

I played some 2 minute mode last night.  I'm a bit rusty and managed a best of only 568,200.

Is 585,200 bad? How did you get so many points? 400k is my best T_T

Caravan modes have many secret bonus points.

I've been playing the normal mode, slowly getting further but still not cleared it yet. Getting to stage 6 is my best go so far(to the mid boss that uses older bosses "arms").

How long is a play through on this? When I played the main mode I was surprised when it changed stages - they're very long with more than a few mini bosses. I really am enjoying this though, I've been meaning to spend more time with it on the everdrive, and it's been very nice having the 2 and 5 minute modes to fit in play sessions on the express between chores and work.

When you say secrete points can you elaborate for the guy who only played tailspin bonk and parasol stars as a kid?

YouTube longplays say it's about 45 minutes.  It seems longer, though, like at least an hour.

For score run secrets, you need to find all the hidden gold Z icons, destroy the snake thing from the inside after it curls into a circle, destroy the pairs of vertically moving blooming flower pot things simultaneously, get all the parts of the big balls that split into four smaller balls, and milk the 2 minute boss for points by destroying its purple shots.
