Dude, you can't expect me to read your posts and be informed before I reply.  That's just completely ridiculous.

Dude, quit eating RaisinBars and get with it! This guy seems to be with it:

Have you tried the AV in on your brother's capture card?  No, not RF, but AV in?

Unfortunately my brother's capture card only does S-video and RF, so if I use composite hook ups, it will look all messed up in S-Video mode.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Have you tried any games that are better than Shadow Blasters and Sonic 2?  Your card might need a bit more "awesome" to work properly, and Shadow Blasters won't cut it.  Try Tommy Lasorda Baseball.

Dude, Shadow Blasters is one of the most jawesome games ever made, along with Insector X and King's Bounty. I guess the problem is that no capture card is awesome/jawesome enough to play these incredible games.

I've figured out your problem!!!!!  I can't believe nobody caught this before!!!

The Genesis is a high definition video game system like the Xbox360 or the PlayStation 3... perhaps even a bit more powerful than those two combined.  It is much too powerful for your capture card, which is only wimpy standard definition.   Don't try to capture the Genesis' amazing HD graphics with a non-HD graphics card.

See that?  "High Definition Graphics".
They wouldn't have put that there
if it weren't 100% true.

Holy crap, I didn't even think of that. The Genesis is in HD! Where can I find a capture card capable of accurately recording the Genesis' high definition graphics? Also, does this mean that the Master System has high definition graphics as well?

Sorry, but I don't see your library card on the books of Ys.  Now, RETURN THEM TO ME!!!

I never understood why they didn't make a game starring that guy.  It's not too late!

@Keranu

What's the brand and model of the capture card?

Also what software are you using?

More info would be helpful.

Capture card: KWORLD DVD Maker PCI
Software: Ulead Video Studio 9's Movie Maker. I've also tried using this PVR program and got the same results.
