Thanks for the replies
One setup was £7 looks mint boxed but cd unit doesn't work(comes with lid)not retested the ifu yet
the other setup was £14 looks used cd unit is yellow! Works fine both come with lids
I got a 1.0 system card and a 3.0 system card i need a arcade card to play the SNK games right?
I got a boxed joystick and a bout 15 games now to get somemore
Cool stuff, especially if it's a Super System 3.0 card that you got as part of one of the bundles. That card is good for all CD-ROM2 and Super CD-ROM2 games, so pretty much the entire CD-ROM2 catalogue is already within your reach already.
Yep, the Arcade Card Pro is needed for the SNK fighters and a few other Arcade CD-ROM2 only titles, the card is also fully compatible with all the CD-ROM2 and Super CD-ROM2 titles as well, so once you do upgrade cards you needn't switch back. There's also a few hybrid Super CD-ROM2/Arcade CD-ROM2 titles which offer slight/minor enhancements (shorter loading times etc) on systems using the Arcade Card Pro.
Re the spare IFU, I'd be inclined to test it and keep it as a back-up to the current one, should save you the hassle of trying to source another one should you ever need to. Having said that, i also think that you should be able to get at least what you paid out for both units on ebay should you wish to part with it, especially if you can advertise it as known to be working.
Lastly, a request, if the white CD-ROM2 is dead but is aesthetically correct I'd be interested in buying it from you for it's lid. Would offer say £10.00 plus postage costs.
:
Mine is not quite right, in the fact that the previous owner(s) managed to rub part of the letter O on the CD-ROM2 stencilling so much that it is now only half visible. They must of liked cleaning a bit too much.
If you are interested in selling it on, let me know.
