Toe Jam & Earl is THE SHIT!

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Indeed.  Also, I should mention, there is no game called Esquat, it's actually Eswat   Anyways, even though I don't have an Xbox, I decided to pick of Toe Jam & Earl 3.  Some say it's terrible, some say it's incredible.  I won't know until I someday either get a REALLY cheap Xbox(like say.......$30) or the 360 goes down low enough, for me to want it.  The 360 actually has a few games I deffinitly want, like that new Naruto game, unless it ends up sucking.  But, Shadowrun might be cool, mainly because I loved the SNES game.  I'm not a big FPS person, but, it might be fun.  And if Hudson brings over Far East of Eden Ziria, I'm all over that

I've been wanting to play Toe Jam & Earl for X-Box as well, I've heard it's really good from a fellow friend. The two for Genesis, man, those games just rule and have some of the best soundtracks.

By the way, will the 360 let you play Toe Jam & Earl 3 on it or is that one of those non-backwards compatable games for it?

I heard recently, that supposedly the 360's latest update, can play every Xbox game ever released.  But, it's just hear-say.

That is false sir, it only added another 15 or so games.  But most of them were really good games, like Panzer DRagoon Orta and Jet Set Radio Future.

I've been waiting for the 360 update to play Orta for the first time, since my Xbox is one of the models that Orta's progressive scan is incompatible with. :)

If Jet Set Future looks any better on 360(or at least not worse) I might give it a play through with the girlfriend again as well.

You haven't played it yet?  Orta is awesome to the max.  I still like Zwei better, but Orta is an amazing game, and has TONS of unlockable and hidden stuff.  Plus it looks amazing on 360 with wide screen and progressive scan, although the CG cutscenes do stutter a little.

Where can I find a list of Xbox games that are currently working on the 360?

As soon as I got it I tried it and I couldn't handle the 480i, so I started hunting for an older Xbox until I gave up and forgot about it.

Hey Paranoia! I started downloading the soundtracks at work... holy cr*p, I hit the daily download quota pretty quickly. It's gonna take me a year to get everything.

Thanks for putting all this stuff up, because I am really stoked :). I'm up to the "C's" on the long list of games. Woo hoo!

I should have started downloading stuff sooner, but I had limited space on my harddrive.

Anyway, I love that you provided the tunes from other platforms (i.e. TG-16 Bonk, NES Bonk, GB Bonk). I love hearing the similarities / differences, and it is really nice to have them compiled here in one easy location.

I remember when you were talking about these (and other) soundtracks on the magicengine boards...

Now, if we could only convince Seldane (or someone else) to make MP3's of the Ys tunes we haven't heard (like the Korean Ys II, and the PC-98 / X68000 / etc. versions), I'd be in heaven :). The idea occurred to me after listening to the Ys MP3 he recently posted in another thread.

Thanks again, Paranoia!

There's still a couple of Bonk's that I need to provide sountracks for.  The ones I can do, are Bonk's Revenge for GB, & the 3rd Bonk on GB called Viva la Chikkun.  There's 2 other Bonk's, but I doubt I'll be able to get the songs from them decently.  They are the Amiga Bonk, & the arcade Bonk.
