Steve I made the commitment to get into Ghost Manor awhile back when Black_Tiger was interested in the game. I think it's a pretty FRICKIN' AWESOME game now :D . Well maybe not, but I do like it more. There are some hilarious little cheesy touches to it too, like the way the music stops inside the mansion and the rat sprite with invisible pixels scattered over it.
I wish I had the damn HuCard. The fact that I'm utterly broke right now doesn't help matters. Did you get to the part of the game where you fly around in the skull-plane? I want to do that soooooooo badly, but I don't think I ever cleared the first or second part of the game.

It looks like the flying skull vehicle is probably the final boss fight. I made it very far during a co-op night with Keranu and there can't be much more to the game.

Reminds me of Wizards & Warriors.

Which reminds me that I realized the other day how Ghost Manor is a TG-16 version of W&W without all the power ups.

Awesome, I'll have to pick it up! W&W is a classic. (or at least the first two were; the later ones I never was impressed with.)
Don't get too excited :). W&W was a friggin' great game and instantly accessible. Ghost Manor is not nearly as accessible... I suspect that you'll have to nurture your relationship with Ghost Manor to get enjoyment out of it. This isn't a bad thing, necessarily, but I have yet to make such a commitment to the game. :)

Although I love the original W&W, I remember that back in the day I was one of the few in town who managed to get anywhere in it. Just like Ghost Manor, I think most people give up on the first level.

I can't blame them either, given how unreasonable it is from the outset(just like GH). But like I said, I love it and its that kind of challenge that drives me to push through games like Night Creatures and Ghost Manor.

The flying skull part looks so awesome. Ever since I saw a clip of that on that Duo promo, I've been really interested in Ghost Manor.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).
